Low contrast between the characters and planes and lack of means to imply movement do that. Some white or thicker outlines or even some rin light just to better define form would do wonders for readability.

I think the art in this comic is amazing, probably one the better I ever seen, but each panel feels more like an isolated illustration and is easy to get lost in all the detail.

Maybe a good thing if you are the sorta of guy who does one page a week, you want your reader to really enjoy each part individually. But if you are reading in a continues rate is probably more ass that way.

Tatsuya's just a fucking nut. Years ago you had people spinning narratives about why he was a radical feminist and now those are all moot. Even before that he was in the midst of the now quaint, slacker atheism of the early 00's. There's exactly one webcomic creator whose prose I find as digestible as her comics and whom I trust to shift over to a fully literary story as she's often threatened. Every other person I've seen try, from Paranatural to Erfworld to even the bits of text accompanying K6BD, that are to be fair completely ancillary (least when I was keeping up), completely stop the pacing of the thing dead. They feel like slogs. Just because "writing" can be quicker than drawing doesn't mean you don't need to spend just as much, if not more, time making it truly good.

That said, the comic art is superb too, so it'd still be a lost. But it's notable that the creator has a superior grasp of both how to make a truly "web"comic and can write prose really well too. I think I remember more lines from this one webcomic than any of the other's I've ever read. Unsounded's got it all baby.

Speaking out, does anyone else remember an old parody comic about Kevin and Kell’s weird "predation as part of normal life and business" thing? I remember the general gist of it

Anyone know what I’m talking about? I swear this existed, and I’m not just making up some weird fanfiction. If it helps I think the guy who made it had other parodies of old webcomics, but this is the only one I can remember relatively clearly

Art was too good to be Jack. Also that’s another comic that’s still going somehow. Remember when Hopkins took down the arc with the "Musical Holes" bit saying he going to rework it to be less explicit? Well I checked the site and from what I can tell he did rework a couple of scenes to be less explicit (like as an example there’s a part where our heroine jerks off Drip the rape rat while he sleep and I remember you used to be able to see her hands wrapped around his monster dick, but now that’s covered up by stalagmite front of it), EXCEPT for the Musical Holes bit which is still completely uncensored although it is in noticeably worse quality than every other page in the arc now.

They feel alienated and lonely due to autism, uncomfortable with their bodies due to puberty/prior sexual trauma/ugliness, plus spergy people usually don't vibe with gender norms. Add in the social contagion aspect of seeing other lonely autists talk about the vague symptoms of "gender dysphoria," the desire to feel part of a community, a dash of AGP for the men and a sprinkle of various other neuroses - and you end up with a lot of people who think they're actually cute girls in men's bodies or vice-versa
