I've thought a lot about the world of Hello Birdman, and where I've landed is that it takes place in Moon City, a tourist spot for transient weirdo monsters on vacation or looking to start over in a new place. In short, it's more or less New Orleans

Birdman and New Guy are definitely transplants, while the swampy Alfie is a local. Birdbat and her family's origins are unknown

When I get some time off I'll make some more world-building pages, I have a lot of notes about Moon City, like local celebrities, dealing with tourists, and of course, Party Gras hah

Eh I go back and forth about it; on the one hand, it's nice to have the skill sets, and I like making things for a living, the work can be its own reward

But the hours are long and the work is very physical and it attracts absolute psychopaths

i could be a chef if I was allowed to just do it for roughly 45-90 minutes a day, 3 days a week. I'd make some fuckin good food during that tiny window, BUT someone would have to invent some kind of personal air conditioning system that doesn't chill the hot food you just made, only me and my overheating no-radiator-havin' corpse.
