Invincible has similarities to DBZ, but the plot beats and characters are all digs at various comic characters and tropes, mostly because Invincible wasn’t shackled to a constant status quo the way Marvel or DC heroes are.
King’s Supergirl is literally just True Grit. You watch/read True Grit, you’ve seen everything King’s Supergirl has to offer.
Cosmic Adventures or Peter David’s run would all be far better material to draw from for Supergirl.
