You can talk about Lesla-Lar's recent resurgence as well! She seems to be gaining a following with the comic. She also seems to be gaining mass with every issue.

I don't read Superman comics, so is the fact that this Lesla character was able to leave Kandor supposed to be significant? I thought the whole thing is that everyone inside Kandor was stuck small, but she leaves and even gets that badonkadonk for free. Did the creator of comic really just sidestep all of that for bimbofication or do the Kandorians just choose to stay isolated at this point.

I went to see the new Superman film this evening. She has about a minute of screentime near the end. Clark is getting a medical checkup from his Fortress of Solitude bots at the end and Kara flies in, crash-lands, clearly drunk. the thing is Supergirl's continuity, personality, and relationships have always been messy with multiple explanations/variations across the character's history, so there's no definitive "Supergirl" book. In that regard, WOT isn't exactly out of character any more than other versions, but it's still a good book, so it makes sense that Gunn is basing off her DCU appearance on a modern-day well-regarded comic, which new readers have more chances of picking up than a storyline from the 80s (unless it's one that's extremely popular and well-regarded, which Supergirl lacks)

What I find bizarre about Ariella Kent, is that she was originally portrayed as either blonde or light brown-haired, with blue eyes and white skin, as you would expect the daughter of a white, blue-eyed, blond woman, and a white man with blue-eyes and black hair.

No attempt at continuity at all, just something that comes off as a bizarre race swap.
