Funnily enough she wrote several of the most famous early episodes. She was also the writer for the best-received episodes of SU. Sugar's problem was that she gave basically full control of the writing to the boarders, so if she wasn't directly involved in an episode they just did their own thing, and it often sucked dick. But then and again you seem like an extreme newfag for not knowing this and for thinking that she created Adventure Time.

Sugar herself is not that bad an artist or writer, she basically created the modern day squishy calarts style for SU but when SHE uses it it still looks fine, it's usually her crew's inability to draw anything properly that makes her art look like shit, her characters tend to look like people not little goblinas, her females have actual curves instead of a single barrel monotit and no ass and her men have appealing faces and attractive bodies in a frumpy sorta way because she's actually attracted to men as opposed to all the college-lesbians she hires that do their best to avoid drawing anything but their personal ship art so everything else looks like shit

Her biggest issue is her inability and lack of desire to wrangle a team full of nepotism hires without skill and the mindsets of teenage girls who just wanna bicker all day and not actually make a cartoon

We get a new cast of interesting characters, the old cast only shows up for cameos or if its specifically plot relevant. Lars has an interesting personal story that isn't just drawing out his SU arc. Basically I want a new show.

The off colors and lars. Lars' gang of the worst characters in SU will make the show near unwatchable if they're the main cast. Lars himself had gotten pretty boring as a character as well by the end of SU, but I can easily see them coming up with something interesting for him.

A little of both, main cast plays a little too much of a role with SUF-level writing. Beccy is smart enough to not focus on the off colors too much, but not smart/brave enough to get rid of them altogether. Lars gets a new story that will be anywhere from pretty good to really great depending on how strong the actual idea for the show was.
