It was Nicholas Cantu, the third Gumball (fourth if you count Nicky Jones, his voice in the pilot). He did Gumball from the end punchline of The Copycats all the way to the end of S6.

Thing with him is that, shortly after S6 finished recording, he booked a few guest slots with some popular YouTubers, hooked up with a few story timers, and briefly blew up, under the name of Jimmy Janker, as a meme lord of sorts, coasting off being the voice of Gumball. Eventually, he crashed a bit and, while he has remained in the VA game, his major internet fame days are behind him.

As for the other ones:
Nicky Jones: left acting after Chowder but eventually built up a small online following.
Logan Grove: completely quit acting after Gumball and joined Naval Academy for a few years. I don't know what happened after.
Jacob Hopkins: acting jobs dried up for a few years but now has a steady gig as an anime VA and is going to play a role in an indie animation.
Duke Cutler: never much of an on screen actor to begin with. Not sure what he does these days but then again, he is only 16.

I don't think it's all that bad and it gets me to laugh at a few points too, but it just feels like it does the same thing over and over with slight variation. Despite some efforts none of these characters feel properly explored. Rob gets the first episode of season 4 as build up to his character and he shows up like twice (I think) before the two part season final. So I'm just wondering what was the point of getting the intro episode and then almost nothing until the end.
Season 3 spends like four consecutive episodes on Penny to various degrees and then she's just a footnote in comparison in the next season.
And there's like four episodes dedicated to using a clipshow format that are loosely held together by a theme. It's funny the first time and that first time was in Season 2, it just feels lazy and cheap, not really a character thing but it's the writers opting out for a bunch of sequences stitched together instead of using it as an opportunity to give a character some light.
Louie gets a weird amount of focus for two or three episodes? I'm not mad at it but then he's basically gone for the rest of it.
And I can complain about the school students just kinda being there but I can't be bothered really.
Like I dunno it's just running on fumes I guess? I for sure like it more than Season 3 but it's not doing anything interesting. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone outside a few episodes

Ben and the writers just love Richard and his family. Jojo, Louis and even Frankie, get several episode. The writers want us to love them. Frankie is a criminal that abandoned his wife and son but he is funny so we should understand him. And Nicole's family? Her parents are introduced as antagonists and they are used as cheap drama. And it seems they are doing it again with a divorce plot, because, of course, their relationship is dysfunctional. Meanwhile, the real dysfunctional couple (Richard and Nicole) stays together. Fuck Ben and fuck the writers for their obsession with Richard and his family.
