>superfluous.
he provides a source of krpytonite after its been established that all of it in the world has been destroyed and provides superman with a means to escape after his powers were neutralized by a lack of sunlight
you couldnt take him out without altering the plot a fair bit

i don't read much Metamorpho, but is he usually supposed to act so....meek? from what i have seen of him, he's kinda "tougher", isn't he? felt weird seeing him like this, even if he was locked up for a while

Classic Gunn move to make a character into a goof or a dweeb just because he thinks it's funnier that way.

The amount of exposition needed to make this make sense is part of the problem with this flick. Show don’t tell definitely applies to cinema or at least it should.

Half of the cast was. Gunn can't direct movies about single characters, or serious moments without undercutting them with a shitty joke because he's an emotionally student pedophile.

Honestly didn’t mind him. Great to see somewhat obscure characters like Metamorpho make it into big movies. Though it was weird how normal he sounded. The few comics I’ve read that he’s in, I’ve always heard a more gruff sounding voice coming out of him.

It's possible Metamorpho lost his confidence/nerve not only after his accident, but seeing his son in danger. Sapphire might be cut off from the fortune thanks to Simon being petty, hating that his daughter hooked up with a freak

It’s better story telling to just have it be the last kryptonite on earth than for a character no casual audience member has ever seen before be introduced with a convenient power and kidnapped child, leaving aside the fact all kryptonite on earth has been destroyed but was present there at one point. It’s lazy poor story telling for nerd points. Fanfiction.net writers were more subtle

As much as I loved the movie, it would've been nice to see more actual Superman characters. I get they're worldbuilding, and in a way that feels really organic and interesting. But it does take away from the 'Superman' aspect a bit.

Him making a Sun was a good scene. Reminded me that Superman despite being the strongest really relies on his friends and the goodness in people to save the day.

I think they had him sound meek so he would be less intimidating after switching sides.

His voice sucked but he was good otherwise. A deep voice would have made him seem more sinister before Superman convinces him to help, which would have emphasised Superman seeing good in everyone. Instead you just kind of know he's going to help cause he sounds like a nerdy teenager... Which is also at odds with him apparently being a father.
His abilities, fights and overall role was good though.

He's super boisterous and confident despite being a mangled mess in the comics, even showing off to other heroes and being cute with his powers. The original run makes it seem like his disfigurations didn't harm his self confidence at all. Probably helps that he got to keep his girl despite all that.

Chlorine is actually one of the elements that comprise the human body. 99% is made of oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon, calcium (which is a METAL as it turns out, did you know that? I didn’t), and phosphorus. Then .85% is made of sulfur, potassium, sodium, chlorine, and magnesium. The last .15% are all trace elements apparently, some of which are very fucking important like iron or zinc but don’t take space enough in the body for me to easily google them

I think they realized that WW needs to happen around the same time as Superman and Batman. Paradise Lost is an interesting idea but it was never going to be enough. I'm surprised they didn't just announce a new Wondy right off the bat.

It's probably going to embrace all the Golden and Silver-Age wackiness, along with the post-Crisis stuff too, like Superman. Give me something like Earth One but way better, and with aspects from the Perez, Simone, and Rucka runs and I'm good.
