She's not that different from the original. The green feathers are the most radical change. She had those snake eyes since Carl Barks first came up with her. She was always supposed to be a duck version of Morticia/Vampira and the new version follows the same idea.

As far as I know, in actual ducks, the yellow part corresponds to the foot and toes, but in terms of Disney comic ducks, the rule is that the yellow part corresponds to the legs as a whole. However, in the image, it seems her pelvis is also yellow.

The art is good, but the artist messed up in the context of the comics and cartoons. Her pelvis should be green like the rest of the body, and yellow from the thigs and lower.

Also, regarding the fireplace, the only explanation is if the magic dust is somehow only ignited by the use of magic. Magica was going to use matches to light the fireplace, so maybe it is safe against normal fire. Explanation pulled out of my ass, but there ya go.
