"Valsalia" is the city state the characters are currently aligned with and working for (most prolonged rule by the 'Salia' family; currently Viracroix) with the headquarters inside of "The Tooth" which is basically a giant calcified mound of what is/was the Baxxid (the Worms with scythe blade arms) ancestral home territory and/or primary breeding ground.

The world setting is in two major parts: a "civilization returns" renaissance and battling city states phase of post-apocalypse, where all the remaining high-tech goods are either reduced to non-functional family heirlooms, or completely lost or hidden. The second part of the world setting is this world is not Earth; it was to be an implied space colony or planetary research mission that failed and then regressed to its current state of affairs. Humans are the aliens and the Yinglets are implied to be the result of genetic experiments or uplifting to full sapience... The Indrel and Baxxid however are probably native species to the world.
