I don't. I'm right there with you. Robert Pattinson Batman does not belong in the Gunnpoint Universe. His movie is about hunting down a serial killer, what kind of stakes are there if he can just ask Hawkgirl to swing by and do a fly over or have a Green Lantern use their cosmic ring AI to figure out puzzles for him? Matt Reeves The Batman should be its own Black Label world and they can get an elder statesman type for the mainstream films. Maybe give us a World's Finest team-up movie instead of making them fight right out of the gate. Although the John Byrne first meeting is pretty much what I'd want in the movie.

Well I think the actual reason is that James Gunn just doesnt know what to make of The Batman Part 2 yet. He knows that its a popular property but Matt Reeves needs to sort of give James Gunn an in to either have a proper tie in or at least a nod to make it seem plausible that both properties can coexist. If whatever Matt Reeves writes doesnt allow this Superman to exist then even if James Gunn's movie made a kryptillion dollars Gunn would just have to bite the bullet and make his own Batman(also theoretically he CAN just have the next Batman end in part 2 and bring in Robert Pattinson without ever making a direct movie sequel, worked out for Hulk up until Endgame)
