Because there's more money to be made in G and PG rated movies. We've been over this many times. Families are big money and nobody is taking their kids to some PG-13 or R rated animated movies.

It's not even close anon. Anime movies make a good amount of money but they don't make nearly as much as the ones from Hollywood. Ne Zha 2 is the anomaly but all its money is from China and there's no rating for it.

even the military supposedly had theaters bought out to show a ton of people the movie at once

I never watched it but even if it was that good the entire country went out of their way to watch it because it was an easy way to show support for the ccp since you didn't have to buy expensive chinese tech that broke down on you within a week and was not covered by the warranty for some bs reason
