Listen, man, I enjoy his cape slop, but it's always always been about him grabbing characters, often obscure, and writing them however he wants even if it makes no sense. That's the whole deal with him, your character will get misinterpreted and reinvented and changed forever, but you'll probably get a fun enough movie with it.

The fact he got Superman, Lois, Lex, etc accurate enough doesn't remove all the others he didn't.

The Ultraman = Bizarro thing is just an obvious bait and switch choice. Like if anything the twist is that it's a clone and not an alternate universe version. He wears a fully obscuring bodysuit which, if it was Earth-3 ultraman you could assume was because he needed protection from the yellow sun. Instead it's because he's a clone. And Bizarro has been a clone who starts off visibly good, but deteriorates into bizarro. Him ending up in a black hole is a perfect reason for this to happen.
If Earth-3 Ultraman shows up, I expect Lex to seethe that his own pet superman had a name that belonged to another superman variant the whole time
