Calling it a financial thing without bringing up ratings means it wasn't abouf viewership. All late night shows have been on the steady decline but Colbert has been trading places for the top.

Keep in mind people can be killed for "financial reasons": maybe the killer wanted the money in their wallet, maybe they were hired to kill them, maybe there is some other financial motive like they were a business rival. It's a vague thing to say. Maybe they just wanted to hire someone cheaper who wouldn't make fun of them and point out their ridiculous settlements with Trump so his administration can approve of merging into a monopoly at the cost of trading in a huge asset.

FEMA funds run out because republicans block funding. The logic is pretty good initially: limiting funding and reviewing it case by case makes it so that every flood doesn't receive a rush of FEMA funds and we end up overspending, but then you have situations like this where FEMA is stretched thin and republicans block spending increases because of illegals, and then we don't have the money ready to go when it's needed for massive floods.
