If I were writing a movie with her, she would slowly change over time into a kinda horror villain. Becoming increasingly detached from humanity. In her mind she would think she's doing good, while creating horror. Even the camera would become more distant, until it stopped following her anymore.

There's a winnie the pooh horror movie.
You can twist anything into anything. How good it is depends on how clever you are.

No. Tumblr took her and fanonized the idea of her being a totes good guy who only kills people that harm the environment and not a mass murderer whose ideal world is one of countless plants growing from the corpses of trillions of living beings into the mainline canon.

I'm just gonna say this is the best/sexiest design she ever had and it was diminished returns after. But yeah she could work as a horror villain since she has that balance of sympathy, fun personality but also grounded human scariness. Though I'd probably approach it in a tone more like Evil Dead 2 or Nightmare on Elm Street 3 where it'd fun horror and not serious or grim since it'd be a sexy woman killing for the environment but with enough pathos and actual compelling elements to not just make it schlock.

Batman villains tend to come in twos for movies. If you wanted to make a truly horror movie Batman story, and Poison Ivy was one of the villains, who would you have the other one be?

Man this is actually great, why doesn't this get used more often?

Harley as just a naturally battered woman, prone to being hurt and abused. A tragic case. She goes from the Joker to Ivy and she just gets abused in different ways. Maybe with Ivy experimenting on her, turning her into a terrible monster that would be the Final Boss of the movie's finale.

I mean, I KNOW why that doesn't happen. It's because there's a lot of fucking dykes and fags in modern comics and they'd never dare write an abusive homosexual relationship. But from the perspective of telling a story, it's bonkers to me that no one has tried to twist the Harley/Ivy dynamic into something cruel by now. And of course it would be Ivy doing the abusing. Not only is she typically the butch, when she and Harley are dykes together, Ivy is just flat-out more sociopathic and psychotic than Harley. Ivy frequently wants to kill every human on Earth. Poor Harley would be shredded in her thorny claws when she got up a mind to do so.

And of course you could make it really twisted and ugly by having Ivy believe she's making Harley "better" by abusing her and experimenting on her. Better according to Ivy's own designs, maybe...

Keep that parasite cunt away from Poison Ivy for once. If you had to have another Batman villain in this hypothetical film it'd either be Floronic Man or to oppose her theming someone like Firefly.

Which new design since that's very vague to say when she's appeared so much. Also I don't disagree she could be done well in a serious psychological angle but I feel she would still need the femme fatale/deadly seductress elements of her personality that has been downplayed in ages. Lastly there's good cheesy and bad cheesy but it is pretty difficult to pull off well and not come off either schlocky or cynically insincere.

Suppose that might've been a bad example since was trying to think what horror films that weren't totally grim serious affairs, primarily comedic as a priority or slashers with mostly mute killers off the top of my head since admittedly I feel if a horror film is using a supervillain in this example it'd have slasher DNA since those films essentially depends on the main villain as the draw. Admittedly was gonna use Evil Dead 1 or just nebulously say Sam Raimi as an example initially since I remembered the one tree scene lol but also just the horror tone scenes in the Spider-Man films involving Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus.
