India, China, even Africa are no longer peasants living in mud huts riding a mule around their village, they have cities and cars now and, because their populations are retardedly enormous, are polluting the planet at 20x the pace that the US is. Most people cannot comprehend the sheer masses of people that exist in those regions. Nigeria, Bangladesh, Indonesia, India/Pakistan, China... bodies wall to wall in the billions, just stupidly crowded, and they all want to drive cars, drink bottled beverages, buy luxury goods, consume junkfood, use disposable plastic products, use a bunch of cleaning chemicals and shampoo and dish detergent, eat meat and dairy, go on vacations, fly on planes... And they will not stop because we ask nicely. They don't give one shit about the environment, they just want to consoom. They'll burn their garbage, litter in their rivers, shit in their streets, burn coal, whatever it takes to get those materialistic goods they feel entitled to. They don't care about the planet.
We created this monster and there's no comfortable way out of this problem. You can do it with a war or a virus if you want to be coy about it, but either way the only solution is genocide. All so some american companies could temporarily get their stock price high.
