/co/ didn't. We've just had a lot of chudCOPE lately due to his movie doing well critically and commercially. They had hoped it failing would lead to a return to Zack Snyder doing DC films again. Of course, Snyder was never returning whether Gunn's Superman had failed or not, but there's no convincing mental illness.

The fact that we got the something that's closer to Waititi's Love and Thunder than Ragnarok in Gunn's Superman makes me a bit nervous for the future DCU movies helmed by him. What pissed me off was that he did have the opportunity to make the definitive modern Superman film but ultimately couldn't break free from his own tired narrative tropes. He played it safe because thats all he knows how to do. He really should not have been the one to write or direct this movie - just produce it.

As a result it makes me nervous for the rest of his DCU and some of the choices he'll make.

His style worked with Guardians and Peacemaker but not Superman.
