I wish Dead Sound would have focused exclusively on Sauria. I would love to see that become a proper fully episodic animated series.

I like how the designs evolve. My favorite dinosaurs are the scary 19th century ones that look like retarded dragons from hell.

The first bit reminded me of this:

I've always been fascinated by Victorian-style retrosaurs. Something about them strikes me as almost eldritch.

There is something hellish about the old dead eyed dinosaurs from those pictures. Black land of harsh rock, boiling seas and beast devouring each other

It sucks that we have a whole generation of faggots who only care if it has feathers or not. No appreciation of the history of the field, nor any understanding of why the dinosaurs were depicted that way.

I rather have dinosaurs acting like animals, my one issue with most dinosaurs in media is that they act like monsters.

Too many people hyper-focused on seeming like intellectuals and "epically destroying the awesome-bro dino fans perception of dinosaurs."
I still can't get over how anal some people are about feathers too.
Look at Carnotaurus. We have pretty solid evidence that the damned thing didn't have feathers anywhere due to skin impressions.
But you'll still get people who won't let go of "ALL dinosaurs had feathers" and will point to any part of the body that we don't have skin impressions for and claim that there MUST have been feathers there.
It's even more insufferable than the people who get pissy at modern reconstructions for "not being cool enough"
Like, fucking hell man, what's wrong with just loving dinosaurs, regardless of what they actually looked like? Why do so many people NEED dinosaurs to look a specific way?
Like, look at this motherfucker in pic-related. It's from a dino survival vidya.). It has feathers, but it's also a river-otter with knives for hands and does dolphin leaps out of the water in-game. Is that accurate to the real animal? No. But it's cool. Why can't that be enough?

Not to get political, but it's progressivism. "Old bad, new good, you think the world is flat, I think the world is round, get with the times chud". That kind of attitude.

The Valley of Gwangi is a surprisingly good film, it deserves recognition beyond the Harryhousen effects.

>will point to any part of the body that we don't have skin impressions for and claim that there MUST have been feathers there.
To be fair, it's not implausible. Just look at psittacosaurus. Feathers don't always fossilize, either.

Eh, I mean-I've seen so many youtube series spiral out of control that I've come to appreciate sometimes less is more you know? Not everyone can be Filmcow or Cyanide & Happiness. Look at the shitton of Backrooms/analogue horror garbage compared to the actually good content or things like RWBY and Hazbin, sometimes it's good to know your limits as a writer/animator.
