This came on during those times where all the other kids channels were airing something bad too and I'd end up either changing the channel to a nature documentary or going outside for an hour or two until something good finally came on. This show was so bad it actually made me experience the outside world and actively seek out recordings of the wonders of nature. It was THAT bad.

Why can't you guys just take cartoons at face value? Not everything needs some real-world reasoning to it, least of a Canadian cartoon like The Cramp Twins.

What was funny was that this came on before Kirby right back at you and Sonic X on Fox Box every Saturday so you know people were rightfully mad. They even had a marathon once like who the hell was watching this?

While watching I've noticed how similar I am to Lucien, made me work on my mannerisms and the way I talk to become less obnoxious. So I'm thankful for that.

In the intro where they get spanked as babys for pain response checks and the blue one moans in arrousal.

That always stuck with me as kid. I don't know how they got away with that.

Actually its implied in the show that the soap factory, where the dad works, has a lot of questionable chemicals. Only a few people in town avoid using it. Thats why the factory owner, his familly, Lucian (the normal cramp twin) and his best friends are normal colored.

My only memories of it surround the surreal setting
>There is a swamp in the middle of a mundane suburban neighborhood where the poor people live and everyone fears them.
>These poor people are mutants that start out incredibly small but are extremely long lived (I.E the midget kids dad lived in the 1700s).
>Everyone else in the city is colored weirdly not because of a stylistic choice like in Doug, but because the township is owned by a soap company that has polluted the land and poisoned basically everybody and gets away with it.
>Episodes include bizarre concept such as the good twin trying to prove that the spacing between pickets of fences in his neighborhood cause a blinding effect when looked at while in motion, or an episode where the bad twin tries to plug up a natural geyser in a spa resort that used to be a monkey sanctuary.

It was effortlessly weird.

The cartoon gives a real-world reasoning though via the soap factory. It's not a Canadian cartoon, it's a British production. Your post is completely wrong.

The surreal setting is great, it's literally the only reason why I even watched some of it. Shame the episodes are stupidly boring.

Very boring, though they showed it all the time on Cartoon Network. I remember despite it being called Cramp Twins, Wayne is basically a side character and Lucien is the main character obnoxiously grandstanding about something or other in every episode.

I feel like the British government must have legitimately paid American TV to air this shit. It wasn't like Corneil and Bernie which aired on a secondary channel here, it aired on TWO separate mainline cable networks.

I hate this show, but even I have to admit that some of the episode concepts are just plain out there.
>that one episode where wayne (the bad twin) starts mummifying objects and almost becomes a murderer
>the episode where the twins have to babysit their fat retarded 5 year old cousin who can barely speak
>that episode where lucien (the good brother) protests one of those honey boo boo child pageans for being sexist .... against men, so he joins it by wearing a weird femboy one shoulder dress and make up and wins by having wayne sabotage the whole event
>the political correctness episode where wayne pretends to be transylvanian by acting like a vampire stereotype and the school principal (think diet coke PC Principal) indulges him. Said episode ended up being censored in half of Europe, because the principal makes fun of a kid for being a Sikh lmao

It was probably a cheap show to make. From what I remember reading years ago, none of the voice actors even remember voicing any of the characters, except for Kath Soucie, who was the voice of Lucien, and apparently hated working on the show.
