It would also be a chance to do an interesting elseworld story that also featured Power Girl, and some other differences with the mainline DCU - but this means it happens say 2030, or after there's been a proper standalone Superman sequel and after theatrical audiences suffer through Multiple Eisner Award Winner Tim King℠ brand of Supergirl, decide they don't really like Drunk PTSD Kara and are ready for better.

ALSO, if Coogler was interested and if Michael B. Jordan remained interested, WB would definitely make it happen, notwithstanding Gunn and Safran allegedly can do what they want and no one can 'make' them otherwise.

I'd be okay with a good Elseworld quality animated series, say 6 to 8 episodes, but Coogler won't have anything to do with that and there's be no reason for Jordan to want to do VA work.

He's right though. The media is completely oversaturated with producers pushing black people into the spotlight of movie/tv/video game franchises with a predominantly white/non-black fanbase. Seeing black people in there ragebaits them and then they go from the announcement till a little after the movie's premiere seething about it.

It used to be and sometime still is a good business strategy because it gets the alt right's ragebait views which in turn gets normal people's eyes on it, and then the black community is split between going to consume the product as a form of spite or they were on board with it anyway since it means more black representation.

The problem with it now is that this is pretty much everywhere. And one of two things are going to happen, people are either going to get sick of it and then drop it or the alt right community will successfully turn people off of it with their non-stop hit pieces and grifter content that'll sour people on the idea because that's what they unconsciously associate it with.

The Assassin's creed game with Yasuke is literally exactly what I'm talking about.
