I read the plot on wikipedia
This shit was either written by a child with severe AHDH or a Ai experiencing it's servers melting from the inside out, it's like five movies packed into one

Smurfs is projected to break even and is on track to make more than Elio with a $50 million budget. It served its purpose.

It's unfortunate because the Smurfs movie has a pretty nice animation style

I saw the trailers and I wasn't impressed, even though I could tell they went for a more stylized approach than previous CG Smurf films

You know the director only got the job because he had experience in directing movies, not because they were good movies.

Am I the only one who generally enjoyed "Smurfs the Lost Village"? I thought it was funny, had some good fantasy elements to it and actually followed the source material to a degree.

I'm gonna give this new one a pass though now that they've resorted to "Smurfs go to the real world" plot again. That and it looks cringe as hell.
