The concept of the Batfamily is fucking retarded. Bruce should have partners for sure, but the only thing Bruce should truly care about is vengeance and justice which causes him to push everyone away, except for Alfred, who stays with him out of guilt. Dick should always have a falling out with Bruce and become Nightwing, Jason should hate Bruce for falling to save him, Tim should always feel like he can't live up to the name of Robin, and Bruce should always be unable to show proper fatherly affection for Damian. As far as Batgirl goes, Barbara's motivations should be that she always needs to prove something to herself and those around around her, even after she gets shot. Cassandra Cain, however, is completely irrelevant as a character and should not exist. The "batfamily" should be small, and all of them should be depressed and angry. Don't reply to me.

I mean yeah. Kind of. People critique Batman for his child sidekicks regularly, even comes up in-universe. And Batman already has the trauma of Jason's death. Tim worked out but the idea Bruce would keep on hiring kid sidekicks is kind of hard to swallow as a reasonable thing. Damian and Cass clean up the moral ambiguity by making them freaks trained by birth who need some sort of channel for it. Especially Damian who can't just be left around and is too difficult to keep contained.

The first two are fine in a pre-Jason world. Once Jason dies shit goes off the rails and the notion of Bruce employing kid sidekicks ever again is hard to believe. Damian and Cass address that issue perfectly.

Is there a locker room in the batcave? I just thought of something funny. Cass, Steph and Maps are back from a patrol and they’re changing their clothes. Maps takes out from her bag Batman themed panties, and the two older girls noticed it. It can go two ways: 1) Cass and Steph both teasing Maps thinking it’s adorable 2) Cass and Steph reassuring Maps by showing their own Superboy and Green Arrow themed underwear.
