It's like a weird mix of a gag-a-day Sunday comic strip about magic and a urban fantsy comic. It acts.like a newspaper strip for all the slice of life portions, and then goes full action comic when the magic shenanigans that have happened need to be stopped. If anything, I'd call this a comedy-action webcomic that's a bit ecchi at times, but not an outright fetish comic that I've seen most people say this is, since it seems a big part of the story is to fix and undo all the fetish shit that happens, which most fetish comics don't do.

Like, this wasnt supposed to ne taken too seriously, I can tell that a response to fans questions about these characters was in the writing process for this issue, and I've seen this shit handled way worse. Hell, if anything this was probably one of the better ways to go about it. That said, it was definitely rushed to fit the 'issue' style they have going here, so I'd say the Identiy Merge is a bit cheap, but it's handled better than the norm at the time.

Ok so my process so far is, download the the SWF file, the use the Newgrounds converter Swivel to turn into a MP4, then I use another program to turn that into a WebM compatible with 4chan but the size is too big so I have to use a third optimizer site to compress it to a acceptable size.

But the main problem is only the mini movies seem to be downloading correctly, the other animations work in browser but stop working once I download them looping it first seconds over and over never advancing to the rest of the animation.

I think it has to do with the donation bar, I don't know what kind of trigger makes the bar go up but it doesn't work once I download it.

When I was a kid I used to read this because of it’s consistent (at the time) update schedule for a couple of years and I never clocked on the idea that it was a weird fetish thing. The idea that someone could get off on something that wasn’t… como se dice… "designated sexy" like I dunno, tits or asses never crossed my mind until I was 16 or so. It was pretty obvious back then, due to Anne or whoever she/he is being really active on deviantart and the TF/feminization community. Also rumors are alot of Wotch was based on some IRC rps and chatrooms at the time.

I do think there's potential in a sort of cartoony comic-strip styled Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Sabrina type character, but The Wotch's lore is paperthin and unfortunately at times way more focused on getting its kinks out then telling a good story or integrating it with the plot.

Take EGS, which sort of fell into the opposite end of the spectrum where its so Slice of Life nowadays that the transformation elements never really play any part or aren't ever relevant. I think a series like Star vs strikes a good middleground of clear fetish series vs cartoony adventure show, and would've loved to see someone try their own take on The Wotch that tackles the 00's webcomic era with more tact and self-awareness.

Like it's barely an open secret at this point, or even that shameworthy, that most of the characters were based on irc rp friends of the writer and artist.
