Looking back, it'd probably would have done better as an indie show supported through fan funding
I can't really see the show sticking to it's original idea under another studio
They'd probably turn the comedic slice of life aspects of it up to eleven
Could have been something like downtown or mission hill

But then the question of how far can the show go and be interesting would be asked
There's only so much one can do with maya's social anxiety episodes
There would need to be a B plot following what coco or mymy do when they're not around her as well
Even watamote later on in it run did things without Tomoko being there
Granted it did bring down the manga the more it was done
