No, it's an upcoming Universes Beyond set, which half of all sets going forward will be as well. We've had two D&D sets, a Lord of the Rings set, and the Final Fantasy set is the current one. There's also been a slew of other Universes Beyond Secretly Lairs and Command Precons that I won't list.
There's also an upcoming Spider-Man set. The Green Goblin has the Goblin creature type and I hate it.

It's not banned in any formats where it would be legal. However, it won't be getting any reprints, as it's on the Reserved List.
In order to combat fears that collectors would have their cards lose value as more and more reprints happened, in the 90's WotC created the Reserved List. Any cards on it would never get reprinted again. By default, any rare cards from certain sets were included in the list, which included Nameless Race.
In all honesty, most Reserved List cards suck major ass anyway. Many are from early sets where WotC still had no idea what the fuck they were doing.

FFVI is one of the few FF I've played AND actually liked (the other one being IX) and I've been looking at the new commander decks. The FFVI one not only has a card for every character and that character has abilities (mostly) matching their unique skills in game, but the deck's overall mechanics are a rather good fit to the second half of game's story (a VERY stubborn reanimator with cool gimmicks) and it looks like it plays super fun. If the other decks look just as good for the fans of other games, then the entire set is bound to print unlimited money.
