The extreme amount of hate for this movie was blown out of proportion.
>>149501503 (OP)Why did he end up saying the ugly duck girl? Felt really forced to me
>>149501503 (OP)Saying it was hate is out of proportions. People just ignored it.
>>149501503 (OP)Yeah because there wasn't enough of it.
You could say the same about the emoji movie, that is just a by the numbers animated movie. but youtubers acting like it was the death of cinema for what basically was a toy movie for the modern age was pretty ridiculous.
I will go further and say the same thing about wreck it ralph 2 too, that the major criticism the movie gets is that references online things like even trying to make an animated movie about the internet is a cardinal sin just because it ages quickly. and so what if things age? not everything needs to be timeless. eventually it will stop being aged and just become nostalgic to a portrait of the time it was made.
You can't blame this much on chicken little but a lot of critiques are just functional idiots creating rules about what good and what is bad repeating each other with not much of a reason and objectivity and some people just run with it. Pure emotional responses treated as facts. Might as well talk to a female on her period.
I liked chicken little quite a bit as a kid. it was a fun crazy movie with so many memorable scenes. In the end that is what matters, for the public audience to enjoy the movie. If made today people would love this fucking movie so much too, specially compared with what disney even trows at us today. Chicken little was attacked just for being different and nothing else, and people trying to limit what disney should and should not be, the people who said this movie was bad are directly responsible for what disney is today. so thanks a lot, I hope you liked Elio and lillo a shitstick. is you fault. Because new ideas need to be safe and inoffensive or they need to recycle what already exists because at least that is a safe investment.
>>149501503 (OP)I agree, which doesn't mean it's not an embarrassingly bad movie. It feels like something that started as a passive-aggressive joke at the expense of exec demands and before anybody could come clean about it the movie was mid-production and they couldn't stop anymore.
>>149501503 (OP)Still doesn't change the fact that Chicken Little is of little value beyond memes. Something can be overhated yet still shite at the end of the day.
>>149501503 (OP)ahh it was 2005, not that great a year anyway
>You're never there for me!
>What?
>You're never there for me. I mean, you were there when I won the big game, but not when I thought the sky fell. And not at the ball field, and certainly not now. You've been ashamed of me ever since the acorn thing happened and we have to talk about it because Modern Mallard says avoiding closure can lead to molting, and I'm already small and on top of that, I don't think I could handle being bald
My dad hated me for being shit at sports and in general a timid coward so I always hated this movie.
>>149501544I thought the main reason people hate Wreck it Ralph 2 was because it damaged Ralph's character and dynamic with Vanellope first of all, and the Disney IP shilling second.
>>149501503 (OP)>Abby despite being a main character isn't even featured on the poster>Fucking Morkubine Porkupine is there despite only having 2 lines in the movie>>149501565>Abby's face conveniently left out of the frame>Morkubine Porkupine once again gets his full face on displayThe marketing for this movie was pretty harsh to Abby
