Sort of? For a long while they were fighting under the British flag, but were allowed some autonomy after their performance in WW1. Of course not, but you have to draw a line somewhere. Too often the performers are treated like disposable race horses, so I can't enjoy media that glorifies that environment. And sure, to an extent everyone is taken advantage of in the entertainment industry, but like I said, you gotta draw a line somewhere. The K-pop industry is the same as the Western entertainment industry, only much worse.
