I think a lot of jokes of this type are just more suited for the podcast format, where you have to imagine a situation someone's describing. Feels like that's the case with a lot of repurposed Oneyplays bits.

s1 has a semblance of a script or at the very least a storyboard that they brainstorm before voicing lines and producing the episode and the improv normal talk shit is sprinkled in.
s2 are bullet points about what they want to happen and scenes they think might be cool/funny, and they just fill those with improv bs
