It's honestly not as good as I remember. Maybe I just have a sour taste from Spiderverse and the Lego Movie 2. But it really doesn't have that magic I thought it did when I was younger.

>As you can see they're loading the Kragle into a big machine upstairs. I call it "The Tentacle Arm Kragle Outside Sprayer", or Takos! The S is silent. So on Taco Tuesday it's going to spray the Kragle over everyone and everything with a bunch of super scary nozzles, like this one.

I really like how the movie is about a dad and a son and the sequel is about a brother and a sister
It just makes scenes funnier once you start seeing them thru the lens of "hey this is a kid thinking all this stuff up"
Like for example the whole "Not Evil" song from the sequel is essentially the brother(represented by WyldStyle) trying to keep the play under control while his sister (Whose the Queen) is just making up bullshit on the spot to invade his play and make them all friends
And it's just such a child sibling thing

I remember everyone being a major dick to Emmet in the first movie and never owning up to it, and then it being even worse in the second, so bad that he became an evil bad guy, and still nobody owned up to it.

It has the Wreck it Ralph problem where it introduces this universe that opens the door to all these cool worlds and characters that they could explore but spend not one but two movies grounded to only a small handful of them and donโ€™t even explore them well enough.

This was the first major woke thing I can think of. It shit all over the previous male characters and only the girl used any kind of sense. The main hero was destined to become the bad guy. And the new girl bad guys really the good guys all along. Thats what ruined it, even if you didnt realize it at the time.

If you remove the first sentence of the response, everything else stated remains true. That is why its a weak sequel.
