Quite frankly, everything about a "realistic" Batman is an enormous wank and cope, because in the ACTUAL real world Batman wouldn't be able to exist for long without his identity being uncovered. I remember reading about this back when the Nolan movies were coming out. You couldn't actually have somebody operating as Batman for long without their cover being blown, no matter how much care you took to hide the secret. It's a simple fact that the sheer logistics of being Batman would leave a trail of clues that inevitably led back to Bruce within a matter of months, if not weeks.
So EVERYTHING about the very idea of Batman is fantastical, and trying to make him "realistic" is a fool's errand. As

The movies are NOT realistic, it's just a matter of how much of a veneer of fake "realism" they want to put up. And in that case, I actually wouldn't mind leaning into the more fantastical elements of the character and having villains like Poison Ivy, Clayface, and Mr. Freeze.
