Wrong. He didn't cancel it out of spite, he just had completed what he had wanted to do with the project, and went back to creating his other types of content that he had made before Ongezellig. Spite towards English fans had nothing to do with it, saying so is just a false rumor people keep parroting. He left open the possibility of returning to Ongezellig in the future if he ever feels like it, but you have to understand how much work it involved for him and the other people working on it. Making cartoons isn't easy.
