Don't the events of IDW comics take place after Forces, but before Frontiers? Does that mean this would be Sage's chronological debut, or is this arc taking place after Frontiers?

What is the best reading path to take through the entire Archie series for someone who's primarily an Adventure fan and doesn't care for any of the Disney/underground comix-inspired OCs?

Yeah this, really sage at best might be a bit more leniant or merciful. But she very much is pro eggman and wouldn't stop him unless it's dangerous. Could see that, eggman summons/works with another god or some shit and almost dies and she decides to have a "tactical" retreat for him. Because she was made expressly to run the eggnet and keep him safe and assist in his plans.

She could be a fun, counter to belle but really belle sucks so hard I don't want her anywhere near sage.

It would be based and funny if they turned it on everyones head with Belle not caring that much. Sage being a pathetic tryhard about being a daughter and just being the real loser in the end of the day.

So to the people who kept constantly crying about this comic not going past frontiers and not using its additions, like what are you actually expecting to happen and want to see?

I understand their incidental connection as being similar ideas in a meta context, but if you're being reasonable, how would you even fit Sage and Belle in a story together? People talk about bullying but that only really makes sense if it's Belle before she accepted that Tinker is gone and it was Sage when she was full on brat mode (which they are giving us visual indication, is not the case).
As of now it's kind of hard to even come up with waya to have Belle contribute. Meanwhile if they pick up with Sage where we left off, she's probably just going back to being Eggman's AI helper, but not as mean.

It cannot be stopped. The aging fanbases of not only Sonic but most franchises have developed an addiction for daughter characters that they can project their instinctual need for parenting into. Since Belle is coming off the bench, I hope to hell Ian (his turn in the rotation, right?) doesn't recycle the "daddy issues" arc that went on for way too long. She basically became a blank slate since being put on the back-burner after issue 52. Why not have her character go in a different and more interesting direction if they're gonna keep her around?

That's literally the whole point of Eggman, and has been since the Genesis days. He COULD use his resources to better things, but he's such an inept narcissist he would never consider alternative solutions out of sheer pride. He'd rather the whole world fall apart than ever admit he was wrong, because it's always been about feeding into his own ego.

Sonic CD pretty much hammers that home, with the good futures being a fusion of nature of technology, with both working together in harmony. But since Eggman respects neither, his path only leads to ruin.
