Seriously, watch the movie. It's worth every minute by the end. No, the epic meme faces don't ruin it. Yes, the writing is actually pretty solid. The story is simple but it earns the fuck out of your investment. As someone who's never given a fuck about KPop once, I'm now someone who has given a fuck about KPop once.

I felt the same way about the first song, but the rest of them were pretty great in context of the movie. Seeing the lyrics as something the characters came up with on the fly helped it a lot for me.

I'm surprised that animated films aren't required by boards to be either musicals or have one iconic insert song like Toy Story 1 and 2.
