The internet should have been porn-segregated from day one. I'm just made feminists are the ones to get this done.

Maybe under Dorsey. Musk would first spread his ass cheeks to all than ban porn.

I have one for the sake of keeping up with the artists that deleted all their old stuff and moved over there. My big issue with the site is it's boring, feels a day late on pretty much every relevant news story, and has the posting culture of a 101 class with people raised on nothing but Tumblr posts. Also, the site just got post notifications, so it's way behind on what other sites have to keep people on it.

Block list is public, people can make lists and others can subscribe to that list (something like BLOCK THESE PEOPLE IN PARTICULAR BECAUSE REASONS). It's unfortunately baked into the site's structure. The suggestion algorithm can be finicky too.

So people who lived before the 21st century had access to millions of videos & pics & drawings & video games of people engaged in whatever depraved sexual acts you can possibly imagine? People in medieval times could find wank off material whenever they fancied? Cavemen had cave drawings of their weirdly specific fetishes on hand?

Fulfill your civic duty to help purge this board of anarchistic, sociopathic, intellectually regressive youtube/reddit/twitter immigrant subhumans like him who are under the delusion that all of 4chan (instead of just the designated shitposting playpens like /b/, /trash/, /bant/, etc.) is a toilet by reporting this thread en masse.
Here's a link so you don't have to scroll up to the top of the page.

Stop using social media!
Decentralize the web!
Artists need to have their own websites!
Bring back links pages and webrings!
Learn to code!
The digital frontier is still there!
You're all just living in a handful of corporate approved pens!
Forget woke and right, just wake the fuck up!

Most normies are on social media which represents the biggest customer base.
Artists who get millions of views and engagement wont sacrifice that to run a blog with less traffic.

Also, social media is where artists go to get discovered and exposure. Hence why retweets and hashtags are seen as so important.

Can't do that with blog that is completely alien and goes unnoticed.

You make me want to vomit. I bet you call artists content creators. All theyโ€™re doing is feeding a machine that doesnโ€™t need them anymore in a vain attempt at relevancy. Better to have a few diehard fans that go out of their way than live as a blip on someoneโ€™s doom scroll.

Unless those diehard fans establish a patronage, it's not much of an option. Sure, there will always be people who'd rather be a starving artist than a sellout, but the thing about starving artists is that they starve.

Hosting all your shit anywhere else means that some other asshole has a button he can press to nuke your gallery.
After you get a big audience, you start doing "dark updates". Updates only showing on the website. People get used to checking your front page. Do your own push notifications.
That way WHEN you get canceled it just drives more traffic to your site.

Because it makes you a slave. A slave to the algorithm. A slave to degenerate whales. A slave to trends. A slave to censorship and your own fear. Sooner than later art you make for yourself becomes less and less of a priority. All you care about is seeing the numbers go up. Then the self loathing and depression sets in, building and building till you self destruct.
