I like Dan Mora as much as the next guy, he works hard, he draws very attractive people, seems like a nice guy, and I love his Power Rangers work (designs are hit or mess though) but I'm kind of tired of him being a basic bitch answer

Looks like low effort trash. Any artist from the 80s shits all over that.

I hate this response. Is your point that he is the most popular artist, has the best art, but you essentially hate him because of it?

He's not even the best artist in the low bar recent years.

He's just competent. Not bad but frankly kind of dull and that he's so overspread doesn't help the industry.

>Let me guess,
No but I also don't open arguments with "LET ME GUESS" or "I BET YOU" or any other childish tantrum arguments. Look I said he's good, and to be doing as much as he is at the same time is impressive, I don't know what you want. But the annals of comic book art he's just not up to the rest of to top tier hitters.

I also like Mora ok enough but it's weird seeing people so impressed by him when his art is basically a notch above the bare minimum expectation for comic art back in the day. I get having a cartoony/anime flare probably appeals more to people here than something like
>>149561984
but if you look at comics from the past, Mora's style doesn't really stick out as anything special.
And I get that 2000's coloring aged pretty bad which does a lot of pages I could post a disservice, but being able to draw a pretty girl was bog standard. There were a few exceptions with ugly art, but most people who lasted in the industry could draw at Mora's level, with some extraordinary cases(because I know someone will invoke Rob Liefeld to counter that statement)

I kind of like a more cartoony look even but even then you have guys like Ed McGuinnes or Mike wieringo (rip) who commit to it more and really make it feel punchy. But also like you said, he's kind of at what used to be pretty standard.

I always liked how George Perez drew people. Just sort of cartoonish enough while still retaining realistic.

Like of all time? He’s not even in the top 50. Even out of active artists I’d probably name 20 before I got to him. He’s just extremely productive.
