2003 starfire wins in terms of personality, because she became the standard of what is supposed to be starfire as a character, a beautiful kind stranded alien, who had a even more beautiful soul with naive ingenuity, and a pure love for one of her comrades.
Design wise is very basic but I like it.
In design I think it wins 2015 or 2017.
The rest are just stupid skanky whores, that happen to have superpowers.

That cartoon is overrated for being so overly stupid, but funny how it knows actual deep lore of dc as a whole.
Is crazy too how is the longest dc comics cartoon we ever had.
Dc animated universe is long, but I guess it doesn't count, because dc animated universe is sectioned into different cartoons like batman tas, superman tas, the new batman adventures, justice league, justice league unlimited, batman beyond, project z and static shock while having multiple movies.

Writers want to give Dick a Gotham love interest so adaptations can use it. A lot of Batman media doesn't even use Superman: they're not going to be telling Batman and Robin stories and suddenly there's a flying orange alien for Dick to romance.

I intend to read Perez in the future but 2003 for me. I think the culture shock plus teen emotions are handled best there, though it helps that she has others on equal footing she can bounce off of besides just Robin all the time.

Why not? It worked for Dick Tracy. True they did eventually kill her off and downplay the silver age scifi stuff but Dicks granddaughter being half alien is still canon.

The holy grail is getting your story turned into a big Hollywood movie, and Batman movies have all been rather grounded for the last two decades. There is no place for a character like Starfire in that kind of movie.
