Yeah I wrote that knowing it to be the case. Kirby said comics was a bad business and discouraged people from going into it. Almost all of the creators we liked were not smart financial people who had any real acumen in arguing for better pay, a union, or something else. They had only passion and the opportunity to work for companies they admired. So they probably got stuck with shit pay for a long time. Two of the most notable people were Todd and Shooter who actually threatened to make the system better and they got eventually hamstringed or ousted.
I don't blame the creators who don't try but the ones who try to defend their companies are the real parasites. The creators who might not try and ruin some characters we like may be ok as people and that is alright. We can still criticize their writing. Either way, we need the sales to go lower. God knows the writers and artists are trying on that front.

Pre-OMD doesn't count anymore, so many events from then have been erased completely or have played out very differently, and despite all of Felicia's one-night stands and short-term situationships, her heart clearly belongs to Peter. That can't be said about the post-OMD MJ.
And if OMD can't be undone, then Pete+Felicia or Pete+Gwen (again, if it's actually Gwen) are the only good options. Personally, I'm more of a Pete+Felicia fan, but I don't mind a Pete+Felicia+Gwen threesome desu. No more Shay, Carlie Cooper, Betty Brant and other literally whos, though.

If these people keep going out of their way to keep MJ and Peter seperated, why the fuck would you want those same people to do Peter and Felicia? They've literally shown already that they don't want Peter with Felicia either. And I'm sure bringing back Peter's Gwen was partially to shit on Peter x Gwen while they're at it.

Read the Ron Frenz/Tom DeFalco issue of her origin, parallel lives, and her JMS stuff. Those are the peaks of her characterization imo. She gets hype because she is among the many things that Spider-Man has that are unique and gel well together in his mythos. Also 4chan and internet in general has become a porn dump site over time as well as /co/ running out of interesting writing due to fags like the OMD brain trust and thus, she gets focus on her sex appeal mostly.

That was Stern and DeFalco trying to make sense of why Wolfman had MJ run away from Peter, which itself had shit on all the work Conway had done to make her a good girlfriend for Peter.
They took a terribly out of character moment and turned it into an interesting backstory that added to her character. Stern didn't even want MJ to be the love interest, but he knew she was an important member of her cast and needed to be fixed.
