Lovely and Miraculous Ladybug team-up or fusion vs Hawkmoth and Moth Macabre
Thing I'm working on, if anybody has a suggestion on how Firebug should look, or what the background should be, I'm all ears.
>>149583085>helmet says "do not shoot">not "do not stab"Ergo, nothing wrong with that.
>>149583411We're getting into the real weird Silver Age shenanigans now.
>>149583886Here's a Firebug ref. He has flamethrowers concealed up the wide sleeves. His gimmick involves burning real estate to free up the land for cheap sale, so a warehouse or tenement would be a sensible location for him to battle Mantis.
>>149584380Thanks for the ref!
>a warehouse or tenement would be a sensible locationNoted.
Greetings /coc/
We are exactly one month away from The Dynamo League's Second Anniversary on August 27th, and I am preparing something for this anniversary. Hopefully, it will go well!
Also, I apologize for not being active in the last thread, but I decided to redraw an old Human version Willow art from March, and I like the results kek.
>>149585428for comparison
Here's the original drawing from March
>>149585428>>149585454Now that's quite the improvement! You're doing great, DA. New one looks kinda stretched though.
How do you guys even come up with stuff, especially of the superhero variety? I feel like every possible original name or variation thereof has long since been taken.
>>149585563You have to go dumber.
So dumb that the big two won't stoop to it (yet), then build up from there. It's how we get things like Captain Stocking Arms that then branches out in the full on space part of the setting.
Or change your approach. Trying to be original on purpose is hard for some people, but it is easier to take something that already exists, cull the parts you don't like, retell it, then re-do the retelling with different names and powers. The new powers change the story accordingly and just like that you suddenly have the groundwork for something that can be original.
There are a lot of methods like that.
>>149585563A lot of my starting points are puns. Like Diving Belle, the Southern belle with water powers.
Animals are also good, ex. Ladybug, Mantis, Firebug. Often these come with a good color scheme already picked out.
>>149556150>What would Crackdown say then, if anything? Most likely something along the lines of "What is this?" in a dispassionate yet still somewhat intimidating way.
Frank can try and pull Arthur's leg by answering vaguely enough without outright lying, he knows he's gonna find out eventually anyway.
>>149585563Nothing is created, everything is copied.
>>149585539Thanks a lot
>New one looks kinda stretched though.Stretched?
>>149585563i was going to give my personal but i see that anons gave more valuable and reliable advice and nothing i can add
also i can imagine Joe telling Willow to cover herself
>"You shouldnโt be going out with your cleavage showing like this. Itโs inappropriate and I expect you to dress more modestly.">"But Daaad">"Willow Filbert! Cover yourself this instant!" Also i hate when i have to color the beaver tail since i still trying to figure out a good way to do that
>>149585997Hmm.
"What's the con this time, Frank?"
"Just liberating some innocent sea creatures."
How does that work for you?
>>149586209>Stretched?Well, she's just very wide. Here for example,it's the exact same image, only with a smaller width. Now, I'm no pro artist, but I think it looks more natural like this, you know? Please don't take this as an insult, I think you have skill and you're getting better each thread.
>>149586472Yeah this works.
>>149585969>Often these come with a good color scheme already picked out.I know it's such an obvious thing but now that you point it out, yeah, nature really has great color coordination.

>>149587861Well, I suppose it gives me time to come up with an idea.
>>149586592OK.
So do you think there should be a new page inserted after page 11 where Crackdown, after ripping the Bloom off of Derek, tears into Frank for getting involved with something so dangerous?
Do you think Arthur would know what Blooms are? Or did he just see enough of what it was capable of to get really pissed off that Frank was going to do anything at all with them?
I don't want to go full exposition with this possible new page.
>>149586559Oh, I see now, and yeah, it kind of looks better like that. And don't worry, I'm not mad; I was only confused kek
>>149585563I try to aim for something catchy. Which there are many ways to accomplish:
>Take an already existing word and add a new simple meaning to it:Jackhammer = Jack (character) hammer (his weapon) = JackHammer. The joke is that the character is pretty simple minded and went literal with 0 creativity.
>Same as above, but you can edit the word to sound coolerKill the feed = cut the filming of a live performance, KillFeed = deadly TV host
>Use idioms or expressions, there are already popular so basing a character around one can come off more naturally Once in a blue moon = Blue Moon
>Alliteration, hard to go wrong with thoseMoth Macabre
I pitched many names before, but not all of them stuck. You also need to push for the character you come up with.
>>149588666Glad to hear, maybe it's something to do with how you export the pictures?

I'm hoping to get more feedback on the Crackdown vs JackHammer script this week. I'd like to address the pacing issues an anon brought up last thread if they can tell me where they're at.
As well as continue the conversation with the Crackdown anon to address the lack of character dialogue.
The pieces are all there and n the right order, it's just a matter of polish now, which unfortunately always seems to take the most time. I assume we're just in exact opposite time zones.
>>149593191>I assume we're just in exact opposite time zonesWell, there's that, yes, but there are also those technical issues I mentioned a while back; there are stretches of time when I'm simply unable to post on 4chan that come and go randomly.
Also, sometimes it just takes a bit for me to formulate my own thoughts in a certain way.

>"As if you couldn't stoop any lower. 'Mind assimilation', Frank?"How much does Frank care about his guys vs getting the pay day? Would he try sucker punching Crackdown?
>>149600460Feels like Crackdown's responses here should be more laconic since he actually has a great deal of contempt towards Frank, they are not buddy-buddy like Ladybug and Diego.

Page 12-1
Panel 1
Crackdown is knelt down next to Derek, he has one of his hands on Derek's face pulling back his eyelid to see his pupils. Derek is groaning. Paulie is side-eyeing CD, but hasn't made a move.
Panel 2
Crackdown has turned from Derek and Paulie and is eyeing Frank now, he has a raised clenched fist with his left hand and is gesturing behind him with his right hand. In the background Derek is using his uninjured arm to hold his head.
Derek, weakly: "Jackass..."
Crackdown: "What they hell is this, Frank? You're looking to unleash *this* on the city now?"
Frank: "Well, ideally no, not me specifically. Whatever the buyer does with them is their own business, as long as we get paid."
Panel 3
Frank is in the middle of doing a lunging tackle towards Crackdown, his arms are outstretched looking to wrap around CD's neck. CD already has a fist raised ready to meet Frank's face.
Frank: "AND YOU'VE ALREADY COST US HALF THE GOODS!"
Panel 4
Frank is trying to grapple CD who is holding back one of Frank's arms while punching him in the stomach with the other.
Panel 5
Focus is shifted downwards where only Crackdown and Frank's legs are in frame. Paulie is trying to drag Derek away from the scramble. In the background part of Bull-E can be seen working is way off-panel.

>>149602365Late night bump.
Gonna hit the sack, goodnight /coc/.
Hi guys, today I have another funny update, now this one takes place during volume 7 (In the meantime), I am not sure if Maddie will appear again in IHF (Aside from an issue in untold tales that implies that she still hates Gert), so when she learns that Gert is going to go to the premiere of the in-universe I Hate Fairyland movie she makes a plan to kill Gert in the most over the top way possible, the problem is that she and her allies are completely unaware that Mom Gert, Larry and Happy left the theatre because the movie contains nudity and Mom Gert would not allow her daughter to see that, and the actress that portrays Gert is in her Gert costume so they think that Gert is still in the theatre, enjoy, and remember to watch Inglorious Basterds.
https://youtu.be/Y4P14KKcKF4?t=40
>(LAUGHING) "Extraordinary, just extraordinary! This is our greatest movie yet!"
>'Thank you, bro. Thank you.'
>A bit later
>"I HATE FAIRYLAND"
>'And I hate you, Gert'
>????
>'And you are going to die'
>"Enough! Stop it!"
>"Turn off the projector!"
>'And I want you to look deep into the face of the one who is going to do it!'
>"What the fluff is going on? That does not belong in our movie!"
>'Now, burn it down.'
>"Yes, Maddie"
>FWOOOOOOOOOMMMMM
>'HAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHAHA'
>"THE THEATRE IS BURING"
>TATATATATATATATATA
>LAVOOOOOM
>'My name is Maddie, and this is the face of Fairyland's vengeance.'
>TATATATATATATATATATATTA
>FWOOOM
>TATATATATATATATATATATTA
>HAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA
>TATATATATATATATATATATTA
>DING
>BOOOM BOOOM
>BOOOM
>AAAAHHHH
>>149606256Imagine how kissed Maddie is going to be in Fairyland Hell upon realizing that her plan was a colossal failure since Gert is still alive.
>>149599133It's possible that Teo likes building machines, and Tennoc found them too cold and impersonal for his crew, so Teo joined Quaslan who liked the efficiency and power he could create. I could imagine he's just sort of nervous in general, too, and maybe the big friendly crew was too much to deal with. Besides, we don't see if Quaslan is mean to him ALL the time, or just when she's trying to get shit done. For all we know she generally respects his work but just has her usual temper issues, and that's why he sticks with her.
>>149598369Impressive amount of butts
>>149606776Maybe Teo was an engineer making the drones that help do the maintenance on The Black Star and Quaslan took an interest in the drones, always doing their tasks, never complaining, efficient, and then gang pressed Teo into her crew.
>>149608223Thanks.
Though I don't know if Crackdown anon is looking for something else in the scene.
I might scrap panel 6 on page 11 since it feels somewhat excessive now.
>>149608404I am Crackdown anon.
>>149608707OK.
So moving on from that point, is that page enough additional dialogue for that scene? Should anything on page 12 (which will get renumbered as 13 later) be altered like what Crackdown is thinking as he see's Bull-E escape with another Bloom specimen?
Currently the line is
>"I can't let that thing loose in the city, I need to finish this quickly and chase him down."Then after that, what changes would you suggest to his other internal thoughts when observing the football team's practice?
And I really have to go to bed now. It's almost 2am here.
>>149608758>then after that, what changes would you suggest to his other internal thoughts when observing the football team's practice?Nothing else that I haven't mentioned up to this point, really.
Good morning! Brush those teeth and splash some water on your face!
G'morning /coc/, how do you guys like your coffee?
>>149610990I usually drink tea, but I can go for a cup of cappuccino once in a while. I was in the "no cream, no sugar" camp once, but I I've outgrown that mindset.

>>149598501Ah, shoot. You want me to get them out?

>>149611204>You want me to get them out?Eh, if you can be bothered that would be nice, but it's not like it ruins the drawing, just makes it feel out of place.
>>149609034So you're fine with the way that part of the script is?
>>149611674Ay! Now that's clean, thanks.
>>149611638Sure man, go for it.
Honestly you got me thinking about my own writing and how I can't commit to any one idea. I've been in a rut with drawing recently, so maybe it might be a good time to work on that.
>>149611940Don't collapse in on yourself like that.
Wanting to improve is good, but don't let me run roughshod with your guy if you feel he's not being written the way you envision him.
You were saying before that Arthur's internal dialogue about the team's future was too on the nose. So how would his mind go about warping the situation to be more than it is? If that's even what he would do in the early days.
If might help if you came up with a plot outline for Crackdown. Like how many stories he would have before going back to college, at what points his main villains would be introduced, and what events happen to him that cause his character development.
I know it's overly broad advice, but having a skeleton outline always helps me see where the story is going and what needs to happen to get there or what needs to change to make the story you want to tell work.
>>149603503>>149603605I know it was just a misunderstanding, but this interaction was really funny.
Slightly later afternoon bump.
Middle of the afternoon bump.
A question: are all y'all the same anons from the How's Your Webcomic threads? Are these threads sort of interchangeable then
>>149614867I can't speak for anyone else but I am not in those threads anymore and haven't been for years.
>>149614867I myself am not. I do want to make a webcomic in the future, but the future is not right now.
>>149614867No, the difference is tha How's Your Webcomic is for *your* webcomic. It's that individual's project. These threads, for better or worse, are a community toy chest where anyone can have creative input.
>>149612149>don't let me run roughshod with your guy if you feel he's not being written the way you envision himDude, I'm just a happy you are writing this at all. Every time one of anons here engages with my characters and ideas out of their own volition is an actual occasion for me. Just like how you feel hesitant to take Crackdown in a direction I may not approve of, so do I when it comes to potentially strongarming the story just because it uses shit I've come up with. I've given my opinion and the rest is on you.
Maybe it's the time to bite the bullet and try to produce as much OC as I am able to while I still can. Due to the recent governmental initiatives around the world, I'm now not only doubting whether or not I'll be able to post on 4chan in the future, but also if the Internet at large will not change drastically after a year or two.
Is plus4chan down for everyone or is it just me? Its been a few days now.
>>149615826We've talked about it, server maintenance supposedly.
>>149614867Can't say I am, no. There were some anons in those threads who's comics I still follow, but since I'm not making drawn art comics it isn't my scene.
>>149615749I get that, but I still want to collaborate with you on this. Having someone to talk to who gives feedback on whatever I'm currently writing is really what keeps me motivated to stick with a project.
You gave me your opinion on some of it, but I still like to pick your brain on it since I want this to be a quality script and not something I feel I half-assed. I have the guy (you) who knows what Crackdown's thinking right here in the threads, so that's a major resource for this story.
>>149614867no, but some of the same anons pops up in woya threads

>>149603120did something happened?
>>149621018Host is moving datacenters, and the truckers fucked things up so now the servers are in the wrong country. I swear I'm not making this up.

>>149622745I know foot fetish is a thing, but is it weird if I want to kiss her knees?
>>149622759>She feels like a throwback to an older era of /coc/ in some ways.In a sense she is. She's a direct lampooning of internet culture, specifically fujoshis, in the same way Samefag and many of the other Sageworthies are parodies of their own things. Not all such parodies hit, but that the intersection with military hardware seems to have found her a home.
>>149622819It's on a knee'd to know basis.
>>149622819Kinda, but it's not *too* weird as long as you don't want to see her knees monstrously inflated like that guy from deviantart.
>>149622759It's a mystery.
>>149621113This is ridiculous and it happened at the worst possible time for me.
>>149623694want to kiss all of those faces.
>>149623722how so?
>>149615749So anyway, I'm going over the script some more and I'm going to ask you how you'd write some of what Crackdown is saying or thinking.
On page 18 of the current pastebin script when JH is chasing CD next to the practice field, CD is thinking
>"This guy in his makeshift gear... He probably has friends, family, aspirations. I only have this mask. He's just like that punk's teammates."The intent of the line is clear, but it's clunky. Is there a better way to convey that CD is projecting onto JH all the things that he feels he's lacking? This is from a brief interaction between the two, so CD's points of reference are practically nothing. I'd like a way for the line to more naturally convey that he's getting in his own head about JH or not thinking rationally.
Then on page 25 I have CD saying
>"I don't need your help! I'm protecting this city MY way! I don't need someone who doesn't THINK running around screwing up how I do things!"Is that how he would phrase how he doesn't like unexpected super visitors?
This is after the Bloom has been recovered and Jack is offering him a hand to help him up since Crackdown is injured.
Would he be more angry about someone butting in on his 'turf" or more angry because he couldn't deal with JackHammer as easily as he does criminals?
I feel his source of anger is important here.
Then on page 26 while Arthur is laying in bed recovering I have him thinking
>"Why... didn't I say something?"This is in regards to Jack asking him why he didn't just explain the danger of the situation in the first place. Would he reflect more on not projecting his issues/assumptions onto other people since it caused him a lot of unnecessary fuss and pain?
>>149623694I think this looks a bit too much like Miraculous Ladybug.
>>149624175>the intent of the line is clear, but it's clunky. Is there a better way to convey that CD is projecting onto JH all the things that he feels he's lacking?Well, it doesn't really come off as projection, as he's literally punching down on himself in the second sentence. Projection is something that people with little to no self-awareness suffer from, while Arthur at times suffers from having way too much of it. Try making his perception of Jack a bit more emotionally driven and drop "all I have is a mask" stuff, it's really something that should be shown rather than spelled out.
>is that how he would phrase how he doesn't like unexpected super visitors?I feel like the focus here should rather be more on the people who live in the city or how dangerous Dan's men are. As someone was born in one overseas country and raised in another, Arthur doesn't feel that much pride or attachment towards Quemar that characters like Batman or Daredevil do with their corrupt slums, he simply doesn't want people near his current place of residence being victimised. Not to say that he doesn't care at all about it, he just doesn't view it as his "adoptive homeland" or what have you.
>would he reflect more on not projecting his issues/assumptions onto other people since it caused him a lot of unnecessary fuss and pain?Realistically, this is the part where Arthur's rational mind really kicks in. Even despite having negative feelings towards Jack, he should take a real good look at himself here and events that have transpired. So, less "why didn't I say anything" and more "this wasn't the correct course of action".
>>149624139>how so?Well, it's ridiculous because I find truckers accidentally taking the serves to the wrong country like something out of a sitcom, and it happened at the worst possible time for me cause I really need to use the site, even though I usually don't.

>>149583053 (OP)What's the deal with the characters in OP's pic?

He's graying by the time of modern day and has been beaten down but not defeated by the cynicism gripping the modern world.
The girl is his sidekick, Liberty Lass. She's a living dynamo able to generate near endless energy which she focuses into a torch. She was the leader of the Youth Coalition until the 90s when accusations of child soldiers, identity leaks, and overall bad PR shut the teen branch of the Justice Coalition down, which created a rift between her and General Freedom. Other stuff happened to her during her adult life.
Both of them have pages on the wiki.

a new Hill-Billie green!
>HILL-Billie: The Mystery of the Night Burglar
>The morning sun, filtered through the thick leaves outside her window, painted Grace's room in dappled light.
>She stretched, still half-asleep, the lingering unease from her nightmares about becoming a mud-covered hillbilly fading with the dawn.
>Just as she was contemplating the sheer luxury of a full eight hours of sleep without a single siren, Aunt Ellie's voice, warm and lilting as usual, drifted up from downstairs.
>"Grace, honey-child! Breakfas' is on the table, if you're ever gonna come on down!"
>Grace shuffled into the kitchen, still in her pajamas, rubbing sleep from her eyes.
>Aunt Ellie stood by the open refrigerator, a gentle yet firm expression on her face.
>"Mornin', darlin'. Now, if you ever get a hankerin' for a midnight snack, all you gotta do is ask your old auntie. No need to go makin' a mess like a coon dog in a garbage can."
>Grace blinked, fully awake now. The kitchen was a mess. A half-eaten biscuit lay on the counter, crumbs scattered like tiny, edible snow, and the butter dish was askew. "What? But that wasn't me!" she exclaimed, genuinely shocked.
>Aunt Ellie just chuckled, a soft, knowing sound.
>"Oh, you don't gotta be embarrassed, sweet pea. We all get the munchies sometimes. Just remember, next time, you just holler. No need to sneak 'round like a fox in the hen house." She winked, clearly thinking Grace was just too shy to admit to a late-night raid.
>Grace stared, utterly bewildered. It definitely wasn't her. She never ate in the middle of the night, and she certainly wouldn't leave such a chaotic trail.
>Could Aunt Ellie be a sleepwalker? Did she, in her Southern-accented slumber, raid the fridge and then forget? Or, a more unsettling thought, had a wild animal somehow managed to get inside the cabin?
>>149631017>She shuddered. Shrugging it off as another Cowpie County peculiarity, Grace decided to document this oddity. Her diary, a sleek, leather-bound testament to her urban sensibilities, awaited her.>Meanwhile, across the creek, at the heart of the muddiest farm in Cowpie County, Billie and Nellie were already hard at work. >The sun had barely kissed the highest peaks, but the sounds of clucking chickens and grunting pigs were strangely muted. >Nellie, a whirlwind of brown hair and boundless energy, was feeding the pigs, but even they seemed off. They usually stampeded the trough like a tiny, squealing avalanche, but today they just stared, wide-eyed and twitching.>Billie, her hands already coated in a fine layer of chicken feed, was attempting to collect eggs from the coop. But the chickensโฆ they were in a state of complete, feathery shock. They huddled in corners, clucking nervously, their eyes darting around as if a ghost had just offered them a banjo lesson. And not a single egg had been laid.>"Nellie-bug!" Billie hollered, her voice thick with that deep Appalachian drawl, "Did you go an' scare these here critters yesterday? They're all spooked up like a long-tailed cat in a room full o' rockin' chairs!">Nellie, who had been meticulously arranging a pile of mud pies for the pigs, shook her head vigorously, a cascade of brown hair flopping over her eyes. She then pointed a tiny, mud-caked finger at Billie, then jabbed it repeatedly towards a suspicious cluster of muddy footprints near the chicken coop entrance. "You. Mud. No eggs." Her voice was quiet, a stark contrast to Billie's booming one, but her meaning was clear.>Billie's brow furrowed. "What in the tarnation are you yammerin' 'bout, Nellie? You sayin' I spooked 'em? Don't you go tryin' to pin this on me, you little mud-sprite!" She felt a flash of irritation. Nellie was always trying to blame her for somethin'.
>>149631043>Nellie, however, stood her ground, her small face earnest, her nose twitching as if she could smell the truth. >She pointed to the mud spots again, then mimed Billie's mud-bending powers with exaggerated hand movements, a silent, expressive demonstration. "Big mud. Chickens run.">Billie stared at the mud spots, then at her own hands, then back at the terrified chickens. A slow realization dawned on her face, like dawn breaking over a particularly stubborn mountain. Her eyes widened. >"Dag-gummit," she muttered, a sheepish grin spreading across her face, revealing her missing tooth. "Well, I'll be. You're right, ain't ya? I reckon I did get a bit carried away with that new mud-sculptin' trick last night. My bad, little sister. My bad." She ruffled Nellie's hair, a rare moment of concession.>"Now, what in the blazes spooked 'em so bad they ain't layin' no eggs?" Billie wondered aloud, looking around the suspiciously quiet farm. Her gaze drifted towards the creek, towards the cabin nestled in the trees. >"Reckon that city gal, Grace, might know somethin' 'bout this. She went to them fancy city schools and got herself a computer. She probably knows everything."TO Be Continue...

pic related, a scenario i'm inserting my char's into.
Need suggestions for a story i'm writing co/ Using Silly tavern to create character card of the two main protags and their relationship.
It's a kid hero named Hammerspace Halo, and the cosmic horror living girlfriend living in her head and posing as a supervillain named Evil Ella. the names can change idk
Lovecraft lite entity Ella projects her Villainous form into Halo's world from her own galaxy within Hammer space Halo's....hammerspace where the kid's brain should be.
Her purpose? to tease the support hero into going out with her on a date.
Except, Hammerspace halo is a valuble support hero, acting as a bag of holding for everyone but herself. The only offencive attack Halo has is the ability to pull a mallet of any size out of the top of her head. This mallet can get pretty big, larger then the moon if she wants. Otherwise her main utility is being able to pull out all the hero gear they've stuffed her head with, and any horrifying tech or people too dangerous to keep in their world.
A popular child hero now highschool girl being romanced by a supervillain? Why is she kidnapped so often? Do these tentacles make my ass look fat?
>>149645004For /co and raisin appreciators i will also be including a separate card with Hammer space halo. Yuri fangirl dtf with the Eldritch fetish woman despite a larger age gap then mentioned here. For the fans.

>Grace, meanwhile, was curled up on her bed, a stylish fountain pen in hand, meticulously detailing the morning's bizarre encounter in her diary. This place is even weirder than I thought, she wrote, her elegant script a stark contrast to the rustic surroundings. >"First, I get lost in the woods and meet a tiny, feral version of that mud girl Billie. Now, Aunt Ellie is accusing me of being a midnight biscuit raider. Seriously, what is wrong with this town? Mistake. This was a colossal, unfixable mistake.">Just as she finished her sentence, a sharp ping against the glass of her window made her jump. Then another. And another. Pebbles. >She sighed, closed her diary, and cautiously approached the window, pulling aside the floral curtain.>A rogue pebble glanced off the glass just as she opened it, ricocheting and hitting her squarely on the forehead. >"Ow!" she yelped, rubbing the spot. She looked down and saw Billie, a handful of small stones clutched in her hand, grinning up at her.>"Mornin', city gal!" Billie called out, a wide, gap-toothed grin on her face. She waved a hand coated in what looked suspiciously like bacon grease. "Wanna come down an' talk a spell?">Grace was about to slam the window shut and pretend she'd never heard a thing. But before she could, a voice called out from just below her.>"Well, land sakes, Billie! It's good to see ya, sweet pea! How's your ma an' pa? An' that new calf your pa was talkin' 'bout? He been eatin' proper?" Aunt Ellie stood on the porch, a coffee mug in her hand, her expression warm and friendly.>"Howdy, Miss Ellie! Pa says the calf's got an appetite like a broke-down tractor. Ma's doin' fine, just a little miffed at the chickens," Billie replied, her thick accent a perfect comedic foil to Aunt Ellie's gentle Southern drawl. >"Say, reckon that new gal, your niece Grace, could come on out and talk? Got a few things I wanna ask her about them city ways."

>>149658716>"Why, of course, darlin'!" Aunt Ellie beamed, turning to look up at Grace's window. "Go on, sweetie, go have yourself some fun! You need to make a new friend!">Up in her window, Grace's mouth dropped open. She wanted to scream, but no sound came out. Instead, she just stood there, her body a frozen tableau of sheer, silent panic. >The universe, it seemed, was determined to make her life a living, breathing, mud-spattered nightmare.>Grace, still a silent statue of dread, watched as Aunt Ellie gave her a final, beaming smile and a gentle wave, as if sending her off on a pleasant picnic rather than to a social encounter with a hillbilly sterotype . >There was no escape. She slowly backed away from the window, her heart pounding a frantic rhythm against her ribs. She took a deep breath, mentally preparing herself for the inevitable. This was it. The moment she had to face her fears, or at least, the person who caused them.>Downstairs, she could hear Aunt Ellieโs voice, a little softer now, talking to Billie. >"Oh, she's just a tad shy, bless her heart. Been cooped up in the city for so long she ain't used to all this fresh air and good company.">Grace walked to the front door as if in a trance, her hand slowly turning the knob. The door swung open to reveal the smiling, slightly unnerving faces of Aunt Ellie and Billie. Billie's grin was even wider in person, revealing a missing front tooth that seemed to wink at her.>"Howdy again, city gal!" Billie said, her voice a low rumble. "Reckon we got some talkin' to do.">Aunt Ellie, seemingly oblivious to Grace's palpable terror, gently nudged her forward. "Now, you two go on and have some fun. Make sure you're back for supper, Billie! Y'all need to get to know each other!"
>>149658740>As Grace stepped outside, Billie turned and started walking toward the creek, not even waiting for a response. Grace had no choice but to follow. >The air between them was thick with a silence Grace found more terrifying than any loud confrontation. She glanced back at the cabin, where Aunt Ellie was already retreating inside, a contented hum echoing from the open doorway.>Once they were well out of earshot of the cabin, Billie finally spoke. "So," she began, her voice low and serious, "I got a real head-scratcher for ya. My chickens... they ain't layin' no eggs. An' my pigs, they just been sittin' there, twitchin'. Nellie says it's 'cause o' my mud-sculptin' from last night, but I ain't never seen my critters this spooked up.">Grace blinked, her brain struggling to process the bizarre conversation. "Spooked chickens? Mud sculpting? She was being asked to solve a farm-related mystery?', "Uh... I don't... I don't know anything about chickens. Or... mud," Grace stammered. "Why would you... why would you think I would?">"Well, you got that there... that shiny little screen thingy in your pocket, right?" Billie asked, pointing to the bulge of Grace's phone. "Pa says you city folk got all the smarts. He says that there little screen has all the answers to the whole blamed world! So, I reckon you gotta know why my hens ain't producin' no eggs.">Grace's internal monologue screamed. "She thinks my smart phone is a magic knowledge box! She thinks I'm some kind of a chicken whisperer because I have a cell phone!" Grace took a moment to compose herself. "I... it doesn't quite work like that. It's for... you know, looking things up. I don't have a signal here.">Billie's face fell, her gap-toothed smile vanishing into a look of genuine disappointment.
>>149658749>"Aw, shucks. I thought you'd be a big help." She kicked a rock in frustration. >Suddenly, her eyes lit up again, a mischievous glint returning. "But I do got somethin' else to show ya. My new mud-sculptin' trick." She bent down She bent down, placing her hands and feet on the damp earth, getting into a crouched position like a frog on a lily pad.>"You're gonna love this."TO BE CONTINUED!

Also I do remember billie did get some love think her and time weasel started at similar times. Remember drawing them both that one thread so had to be same week or about a half a week apart. Remember them both being new asf but think time weasel was just a tad bit newer.

>>149662265It's very good. You do have your own style, so I can't judge if you wanted do draw him in your own way
But in case you want some guidelines on how I draw him, I made this edit
>>149663158I see, thanks for the tips!
whatever happened to the How's Your Webcomic general? /ic/'s gotta a manga making general, but I'm pretty sure /hyw/ was here before
>>149664279>whatever happened to the How's Your Webcomic general?Nobody made a new OP after the last one saged. Will (You) be the one to take that step?
>>149664279Think there was a shitter that kinda ruined a lot of good faith. Don't know the exact answer though, wasn't a regular.
I'm glad they got the rights back to Baman Piderman.
It was fun when they stopped by.
>>149666815Yeah, it's nice to see those two show up on my feed again. Oughta binge that again sometime this weekend
>>149666864I'm rewatching the episodes as they upload them to their own youtube channel. After they've run through all the old ones there are two more that were done, but they were never able to post, and then maybe some more new ones later this year now that they can work on this again.
I hope they'll also upload the teaser animations and the kickstarter animations since some of those did have visual impacts on later episodes.
>>149662483You did open it boyo, and you know you did. But I've alleviated that can of worms and just made my own version for..............horny purposes. Also assumed she wasn't based on how you wrote her in other scenes though never thought of their ages officially.
Damn same thread, that's crazy though makes me a bit sad most of my oc stuff never took off. Though for me just would prefer more discussion than anything but alas it be like that sometimes. maybe I'll try and post more again honestly may need to finally do some more dumbstruck or magic girl or maybe even knight au. also wonder if that anon that did the molly nellie thing is around need more nellie
>>149667306I think Dumbstruck is your most thought out character. Had you stuck to her for a few months longer then I think she would've had a fair chance of catching on with the discussion she was generating.
The magic girls feel directionless to me. Like the focus is more on the setting than any one main character. You keep coming up with more and more of them without letting any of them do much.
And the knight AU (Mary Sue gets a clue, was it?) felt severely limited since it focused too much on her failures to flirt with other girls. Even a more Johnny Bravo approach where other shit is happening that she has to deal with (demon baby, island of amazons, were-creatures, etc) would improve that. Lean into her actually going on adventures even if her only goal is to pick up chicks.
>>149668354What gesture would she have?
>>149668354>Somsnosa is Marley>Wayne is ArthurWonder who the other two would be.
