Yeah they really should have just gotten people to dress up in the outfits and not bother with weird masks or whatever. These are supposed to be normal human characters even if the art style makes them look like triangles and other shapes. It makes sense they'd be played by regular people in a live performance. I feel like what would make an adult version of the series work is that while the other characters around them are a bit more profane, Phineas and Ferb still remain their up-beat, generous selves. That would lead to some pretty good juxtaposition. I would like them to have at least a few more genuine character moments though.
