"Be Your Own Bean" was a pretty good episode.
When Lily boasts to Jack about having her own way of doing things like eating cereal, Halmoni counters that she's actually more like her mom, to her dismay. She spends the day trying to break out of the apparent mold, starting with pet grooming, but things go wrong. Meanwhile, as they clean out the house, William notices that Min is just like Halmoni when it comes to keeping stuff, prompting very similar angst.
It was fun to watch Lily and Min having to deal with being like their respective mothers. It reminded me of a recent 'Big City Greens' episode (alas, I have fallen behind on reviewing those). We see how these qualities manifest in their actions and methods. We also get an introduction to one of Lily's acquaintances, Beef, who bonds with Jack over the ALLΓF underground film channel. It's apparently setting up the next episode. The climax where Min and Lily come to terms with their identities was also quite fun. It really shows how our relations can make us who we are. There are pretty fun performances from Jee Young Han, and Jean Yoon once again steals the show with her chaotic harness of Halmoni's character.
Overall, this was a great showing. I give it a 10/10.
