Maybe it's because people are extra willing to nitpick whatever Miles does

I don't remember ever seeing this. I saw a lot of people saying it was dumb as shit since he wasn't technically a spider nor connected and thus didn't make sense.

This isn't a Spiderverse problem so much as a modern superhero flick problem. Spider-man was always known as the one who quipped too much in battle and annoyed even other superheroes for doing so. The problem is that ever since the MCU and other superhero movies started having all of their characters start quipping like this, it's become fucking annoying for any superhero to do this.
