As bad as you think the ending of those two shows is, it can never be worse than the Owl House dogshit ending. It is so bad that it killed the show and got the show canceled by Disney due to low ratings. It can't never be worse than Owl House shitshow giving its MC a dragon ball power up wannabe asspull form in the last 20 minute of the finale. No build up. No nothing. Just straight copying anime while the show itself looking like an ugly sack of tumblr shit.

Some of the worst endings have The Owl House and Amphibia.

Most cartoon characters are written as flat characters with zero development. Takopi's Original Sin is more impactful and emotional than any cartoon.

Amphibia did have build up to the anime powers they even had a hidden message about it in the them song since episode 1. They showed the build up with it with Anne’s eyes subtle in season 1 not so subtle with season 2. You don’t have to like it but it came from somewhere that was well established.

Star vs the forces of evil, is easily the worst cartoon finale. I mean I find it hilarious but a lot of people don’t find it funny.

I am 110% correct that no matter the universe/storyline, doing this to this kind of Joker and then not following through would WITHOUT A DOUBT lead to the Joker killing him and his son when he inevitably breaks out of Arkham. That being said, a competently written Bruce would realize this and a very generous "Witness protection" plan would appear and this guy would live some upper middle class life on the other coast. Joker would sniff around for the guy but cut his losses when he sees the guy up and vanished.

What's funny is, in the moment, if you're this guy you 100% dome Joker right there. It's objectively the correct decision because you KNOW he's gonna get back at you. Batman is powerless to talk no jutsu into keeping his codependent rival alive in any storyline of this happening.

I hated the lion turtle more. Stan recovering his memory at least has some warm feelings attached to it, even if it undercuts the initial sacrifice. And you can argue that his memories returning is an indication that whatever they did to Bill wasn’t a perfect solution and he’s regaining his power.

You missed my point.
You're right with the foreshadowing of the super powers.
But not with the resurrection by a literal deity looking like Kerberos from Card Captor Sakura.
It is a deus ex machina and they chickened out to kill off the MC for good.
It just cheapens the emotional impact of Anne's sacrifice.
The same applies to TOH.

It's funny that in the end Amphibia ends up having a good legacy thanks to its beautiful finale. Meanwhile, canceled shitshows like Owl House are forgotten, mocked nonstop everywhere, and have a terrible finale on top of getting canceled. ROFL
