But remember "You get all hung up! All hung up on imaginary problems. You gotta focus on what´s real, man!"
It can be either interpretated as: "Don´t wrap your head so much on on what could be or not. But focus on what is in front of you with a serene mind"
But what the show directly intended: Finn letting go on stuff he loved, in order to see reality. And if his "fantasy" was a world where he just was happy after he probably lost all hope to come back home, and got back up thanks to his new friends. Then... it says more about the Adventure Time Crew than him.
They, as much as their kindred of Liberal Californian Milennials. Are a bunch of sad sapps that are high on the blue and black pill that conceive their mediocre to bad state in life as "real" (and therefore everybody is as miserable a s them)
That´s why they reject any prospect of a happy, or just a stable life.To them that´s a real fantasy, and raelity is just a state of abject conformity that they just have to deal with, like the mental slaves that they are. No will to improve or chasing happiness, just an everlasting state of conformity untill they croak.
They keep goign not because they´d know that getting back up after life punches you back is a virtuous thing. They get back up out of motion, out of unthinking action. And if they are concsious, they just wait untill the match is won with a Technical Knock Out untill the next match comes. (THey couldn´t beat life, but they won the match, so to them that´s enought)
It´s a constant mental state of submission and conformity that... sickens me.
