I'm not surprised South Park attacked Trump. It's just a propaganda show financed by the American oligarchy, a controlled opposition, nothing more. Yesterday, South Park laughed at Kennedy, today at Trump, and tomorrow at wokeism again, but always to protect the oligarchy's political and economic interests (just as wokeism and Trumpism are different branches of the same system).

The only thing I don't understand is why so many people still fall for it.

Honestly my main gripe South Park have nothing to do with politics. I just don't like much of anything past season 6. Mainly for these three reasons.

One of the things that drew me in about South Park was how unlike other shows, it didn't have boring good guy protagonists. Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny were all a bunch of little assholes. Reminded me a bit of my own childhood. And the banter was funny too. Kyle would call Cartman fat just to be a dick, and Cartman would call Kyle a Jew. But Stan would also sometimes make an antisemitic joke at Kyle's expense. And Stan and Kyle would laugh at Eric's insensitive jokes about Kenny's poverty. And all four would cuss the adults out and pick on lame kids like Butters and Pip. After season 7 or something, Cartman would be the only acting like an asshole. All of the other kids in his school became a bunch of faggy goody two shoes.

If that wacky molestation adventures episode came out today, there would be no funny Dancing Kyle "Risky Business reference scene." It's just be Cartman framing his mom and his friends calling him and asshole. No fun and interesting plot where all the kids live in lawless society free from grown ups, instead we have a plot about how Prison doesn't work, and Liane having such a hard time in prison. Oh and speaking of, there would be no funny threesome gag with Cartman's mom, instead you'll probably get some faggy "emotional" scene (like in Streaming Wars) about her learning to "stand up for herself" or something gay like that, while wearing that gay trenchcoat of hers while faggy piano notes play in the background.

Big reason. He worked way better as a "straight man" character because he could provide a sense of groundedness without feeling out of place. Like he was the same guy, but was still crazy enough to feel like he was part of South Park. This isn't like post season 7 Stan and Kyle who just act like jaded fuck plucked off from the real world.

South Park has always been at least a bit political, but its main appeal for me was how it constantly subverted television cliches. Take the Rainforest episode for example. It follows the format of those typical "environmental activist episode" formats, but does the reverse thing by making it about how much Rainforest suck. This is funny because it takes the piss out of those types. Post season 10 South Park would have tried to take an unironic serious "middle stance" about the issue instead of just taking the piss out of it.

It's like every South Park character is either a type A character (Crazy asshole like Cartman) or a type B character (perpetually annoyed sane guy like Kyle or Sharon). Type A characters are Cartman, Randy, Garrison etc. Type B are Kyle, Tolkien, Liane, Shelly. In the older seasons, Shelly was a bully who picked on Stan. Now she's just a Sharon clone. Liane used to be a slut. Now she's just female Kyle

Hello, OP here. Let me quickly answer your questions.

1. I have sex regularly. It's one of the reasons for my laid-back attitude and low cortisol levels.

3. Of course Trump is an oligarchy, you fucking idiots. Just like Biden, just like South Park. Oligarchy, as the word suggests, indicates an internal plurality. Their common goal is to maintain power, although they may differ in their methods.

4. In America, oligarchy isn't a Republican-Democrat duopoly. We can rather speak of a small ruling class that influences the people through party and economic factions (corporations). Because the oligarchy fears the people and knows that unchecked oligarchy is very dangerous. However, because the oligarchy is inherently diverse, its propaganda sometimes gives the impression of an internal war.

5. If I were to explain the SP phenomenon, I'd say they always express the views of the part of the oligarchy that isn't currently the most powerful (usually!). This allows the plebs to find them credible without threatening the oligarchy (alternative views are simply another clique within the oligarchy).
