Now that the dust has settled, what did we think of it?

Even though I find fart fetishes disgusting, the writing in this book is so bad with its overbearing feminist messaging I was begging for it to get back to the kink shit.
Also I find it weird how it exploits the private love letters of James Joyce. Like the dude apparently liked farts, why is this focused on so much?

It barely leaned into the smut and was more edutainment.

I love that this single highhandedly killed all Harley threads on /co/.

They used to happen all the time, but now the guy making them has been run off of 4chan.

I think Harley's current exploits have ruined the character. She's not just cool anymore; she has the same plot armor as batman, but none of the edge or interest. She's just "I'm Crazy :D" and gets to do whatever she wants because the writers underestimated her popularity.

The new suicide game most likely contributed to her lack of coolness nowadays. I liked it better when she and joker were irreverent evil dooers; I'd like to see them back together and in an actually "healthy" relationship since I think that's where the characters actually thrived.

Jokers new clown chick was a flop, no one's talking about...Punchline (I had to google her name because ZZZ) She's so fucking lame and I hear literally no discussion on her. DC should be ashamed.

Harley was never cool, she was sex appeal that got ruined by trying to make her into a deeper character, which ironically just made her even more shallow than before.

Harley was at her coolest when she was the joker's side kick. Some characters are just side kick material, and despite her sex appeal, she worked well to enhance the Joker's character.

I think her greatest outing was the Batman Arkham series, but she's always ruined when they try to make her some kind of independent bad bitch who's totally sorry for her bad actions but never has to face the consequences of them.

There's no real depth to her character because "irreverent psycho clown" is a barrier between her and redemption. That is to say, the moment Harley tried being anything different, it damaged her character.

As far as being pathetic goes, Joker's the same way. The two of them are characters that seem more menacing than they are, but I imagine if they were ever backed into a corner, they'd crumble like the weak pieces of shit they are. Its done to juxtapose Batman and Robin's character where, when they're backed into a corner, you see their true nature of heroism and willing to die for their beliefs.

At least, that's how they should be. Now, the Joker's invincible and capable of torturing even Superman, and BatGOD, the strongest metahuman in DC, falls from the moon to earth like its child's play. These characters are ruined.

How many times do we have to repeat this old man? Harley's story is about moving away from the Joker, it was always about moving away from the Joker, in every single iteration of the character.

I'm saying that's a bad idea. That's the point. I understand what they're trying to do with Harley, but I just think they shouldn't? I think the Joker went off the rails too; I think it'd be neat if he was a criminal focused on spectacle, and not this gay sigma male adjacent anarchist "one bad day" shit that was perhaps novel in the 2000s, but has overstayed its welcome.
