Even as a kid I got that it was a parody of It's a Wonderful Life and thought it was funny as fuck.

So many cartoons parodied Fantastic voyage to the point that I figured they all must be based on the same film, even if I didn’t know what specific movie was

Be honest /co/, if (You) knew your life was objectively making everybody else's worse, would you pull the trigger?

well I dunno but it did make many question if life would had been better with them not existing, with that answer being a solid yes.
it truly snapped many out of it and made them think for once, existencial questions are good for a kid's mind as it broaden their horizons.

I already suffer from extreme imposter syndrome and feelings that I just hurt people around me and my solution is to just be a recluse. No point in suicide when I can do my own thing on my own time.

at least one. when i first saw this ep it reminded me of this kid from school with a notoriously shitty home life so i told him that disappearing was the only way his parents would be happy again. well it worked because they vanished overnight like a week later. maybe the parents changed their ways and moved into a nicer neighbourhood

hopejak here! naur.

the implication is if you weren't born in the *first place* their lives would be better. the act of killing yourself *after* you've already established a relationship with so many people for 10+ years has the potential to make life *even worse* for them than it currently is.

i haven't watched this episode in years but like, wasn't the world directly punishing him for trying to help people that day? that logic obviously doesn't apply every time irl and you can stop being a lazy self destructive internet cartoon dumbass and increase the value of your own life + the lives of everyone around you by literally just being a better person

I have a better question, if you removed yourself from existence and made everything go worse.
imagine if your existence indirectly made everyone lives better by triggering certain events that lead them to do better than they should of had and that after deleting yourself, their lives spiralled out of control in a really bad way since your actions kept a balance of sorts.
it would be really interesting to see that, that by not existing we made everything worse instead of better like we expected and even better if they know the cause of their worse off lives, it would be fascinating to explore such a thing...a seemingly insignificant and worthless life being the thing that made things better for everyone else indirectly, only for such life to suddenly stop existing and chaos being unleashed.

No, I'd just shrug my shoulders and go "oh, that's too bad" and move on. I'm not going to do something stupid because I'm a cog in some Rube Goldberg machination of fate. That's God's fault (if he even exists)
>nooooo your mom wouldn't have smoked meth if you just cleaned your room and behaved instead of stewing about your patents' divorce
I might actually give the angel the middle finger if it was like that
>the girl you made fun of in the fifth grade later killed herself
That would make me sad and cause me to reflect, but still not killing myself

Didn’t Butch Hartman say depression and suicide don’t really exist because they didn’t happen in his time, and that it’s a product of non-Christian media, and also made a really tasteless joke about Mary Kay Bergman’s suicide?
