Honestly, a universe reboot sounds like a decent idea at this point. The setting is just far too fucked up now.

The most important aspect is that this universe has no mutants and Feige wants them part of the stories. That's the main reason he's using the fox mutants, imo, because not having the xmen or mutants in general is a big gap in the marvel universe.
Remember that the mutants aren't the xmen alone but thousands, even millions. Even in the og movies, it was shown via Cerebro how many of them are. How are you making that, all of a sudden, thousands of people happen to have super powers?
With that being said, I say the same that I say when people want a marvel comic reboot: we can't have a new thing unless we have new people who can write. If we hire the same team, we're having the same problems. Feige rebooting the MCU means the same issues we have now, but now with more or new characters.

A soft reboot is good as long as they start with something weird instead of just another supersoldiers sometimes in space movie. Throw the idea of a standard formula out the window and have it set in the Savage Land or Ahab so we can get Rachel as soon as possible.

I still don't understand the reasoning of making RDJ comeback as Doctor Doom. He couldn't as easily been a paranoid variation of Tony Stark called the Superior Iron Man. Like an insane unhinged version and call the movie Avengers: Superior Siege or something. Doom and Reed could have easily been the next Thor and Loki instead of wasting Doom as a Tony counterpart.

Hard agree. Having RDJ be Doom seems like it will dilute the character of Doom and the impact of RDJ returning, having him as Superior Iron Man would've been a far more organic way of exploring the multiverse concept and saved Doom to be fleshed out more accurately to the source material. Not having Doom in FF First Steps felt really weird for instance when it's a whole world dedicated to the Fantastic Four

Plus, Superior Iron Man would be such a fun character to see. The RDJ snark could actually have some malice to it for once

They should have had tv shows ready to go as soon as the snap movie was done in theatres, that all took place during the snap years. Then allowed the world to actually change because of the snap and the effects it would have had on geopolitics and science when the space characters settle down on Earth and start sharing space tech. Then the universe would have turned into something new and interesting when the heroes return to a world that's filled with superscience and aliens that now has to tackle the problem of everyone returning, instead of it somehow just returning to normal right away despite there suddenly being billions of mouths to feed that weren't there yesterday. You should have had people emigrating to other planets just to deal with the food scarcity. Or aliens showing up on Earth for help because their own planet couldn't handle the sudden population boom. Instead we got The Falcon not being able to get a loan.

It sucks so much. They could have just introduced Wolverine as a lone mutant that's been hiding and been experimented on for centuries if they really needed Jackman. Hell, make his genetics the basis of the SSS, with the original idea just being to give soldiers his healing abilities, but it kept changing based on the radiation variable because they didn't realise that the X-Gene is a power lottery and not just about healing from injuries. Red Skull got that way because the foreign cells attacked parts of him. Blonski obviously only got fucked up after his body went into overdrive trying to heal his broken body so there it makes even more sense.

From what I've seen, they decided to pivot towards a new villain after Kang didn't get over with audiences, with Doctor Doom as a top choice. Feige likely approached RDJ about playing an evil Stark and would rather play Doom because it's a bigger challenge and not just a retread, and it is known RDJ pushed for the Russos to come back while Marvel was gravitating towards Sam Raimi for Doomsday and Ryan Coogler for Secret Wars.

The problem is that you can't make a movie where the Vampires secretly rule the world and have bloodrain night clubs in NYC like the Snipes movies did. Because that doesn't work in a world with Shield keeping tabs on people. So they're stuck having to figure out another way to have vampires be a big enough threat that Blade has a full-time job but not a big enough threat that Spider-Man would ever come across one. That shit is hard.

Honestly? They probably should go back to his roots and make him British again. Make vampires a bigger problem in the Old World, where they hide as aristocrats and keep all the younger vampires under strict control to maintain their power, protecting against upstarts, as well as keeping themselves a secret. That would at least give some leniency when it comes to why Spider-Man or Iron Man never ran into them in the US.

You don't need thousands or millions for most storylines, you only need the characters you're actually going to use.
