I'm hoping it's better than the Nickelodeon seasons and that live action Netflix series. If anything, at least Straffi has full control over the series again after Viacom sold its stake back in 2023. Even if every new Winx series sucks going forward, at least Nick isn't involved with the series anymore.

Looking back, Viacom snatching up Winx and TMNT was so random to me. It felt as if that company was desperately looking for ANY IP it could buy, noticed that both shows ran for multiple seasons on Fox Box, and then went "Oh, let's buy those" despite having all those Nick Jr. and Nickelodeon IP.

Also I don't know if the OP image was actually official but if it was they've definitely tweaked Stella's design since then and given her a less round face. Either way 3D is always better to see in motion than stills and personally, I'm feeling pretty hype.

One of the good things is that the people who worked on the reboot actually listen to the fans of the original show, Stella's new clothes look a lot better than in the first teasers.

Slightly disturbing teeth, but I don't think that'll be too noticeable in motion.

Probably won't be popular with everyone, but I really like this look for Tecna.

I don't think any of the girls have hair beyond waist length, probably gets trickier to animate beyond that especially if it's just free hanging like Darcy's. Icy is probably easier since hers is constrained by her pony tail.

I think my Stormy looks gorgeous so I'm not going to complain too much but I'm not sure about the purple causal clothes, it feels like a bit too much purple with her hair. Plus purple was always Darcy's colour while Stormy's was deep red (and still is in her battle gear) so it's a bit of an odd choice. And is it just me, or is Darcy actually bustier than the other two? It sometimes seemed that way in the hand drawn era because of her choice of tops, I wonder if they leaned into that. With any luck they've given Stormy a bigger ass for similar reasons.

I wonder if the Trix will go back to being related or if the S8 retcon will hold. I did like them being biological sisters but it was always a bit nonsensical given that they don't really look alike (down to them always having had different skintones) and each of them seems to have a separate ancestor witch, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense unless they're all from the same mother with different fathers or vice versa.

Personally, I liked it (despite it contradicting the old show bible), though me and my gf wished they'd give ALL of the Trix more clarification on their backstories, rather than Icy alone. If them being descended from the three Ancestral Witches was such a big deal that it had to be kept secret, then I'd like to see how they found out about this connection of theirs in the first place.

Enchantix was my favorite because it giving each girl their own episode or plot to earn it was a lot more interesting than all future transformations

Although I think Bloomix had a lot of potential if they had plotted it better.
Bloom giving each of the girl a piece of her Dragon and earning that new transformation should have been more monumental

I wouldn't be averse to some deeper Trix lore like how did they gattai that one time and never again? What the fuck were the vacuums, how did they get them and why did they only use them like once after Season 1? and I'm not against them being sympathetic at times, but I like them as the mortal enemies of the Winx and the idea (kinda hinted at several times, I think) that in the end you can forget Valtor, Darkar or any of these other big bads because ultimately the Trix WILL become a much greater threat than any of them ever were and that's what the Winx have really been training all this time for. The idea Icy had been hiding this secret sadness and vulnerability all through 7 seasons of sadism was a bit much for me to swallow.

Exactly! I also liked Darcy's victory over the Winx for the same reason.

As for Icy's hidden tragedy - at least they looped it back into the search for power, and how she found it so much of her own weakness that she hid it away from even her sisters. That tracks. Just, if she's royalty, do try to explain why nobody mentioned the world before and how did the Ancestor Witches connect to their dynasty. For example, maybe the world was isolated BECAUSE its royalty was ostracized as descwndants of one of the Ancestor Witches, and that's why the Shaman specifically targeted that world for her powe trip.

Felt like they were definitely setting up Icy's plot with the Shaman for a movie, like with that hidden Siren in Season 6. Which never happened, of course, so you have just a baffling ending of Icy wasting her chance at happiness while Bloom makes a stupid wish for ANOTHER power-up.

I wish that Straffi would some day deliver the Trix Series he's been talking about, I can't believe no network is interested.

Oh, and I think "Harmonix" should have been the real Sirenix (since it actually resembles Daphne's dress and a siren tail), and what ended up "Sirenix" could have been a specific 3d-only water form, if at all. But Harmonix barely got any time to shine, despite amazing deaigns.
