There is literally no way to make any friends that are also interested in the same things i am (cartoons, comics, etc) and social media is designed to keep people isolated and miserable it isnt even social anymore. I at least get 4chan being a horrible place to meet people but whats rich to me is how tumblr of all places with its "heckin wholesome chonker chungus" image is the most suffocatingly isolating space of them all. I used to make many friends on the internet everywhere I went, and long lasting friendships too. Nowadays it is not the same. Now if your complaints are really just that cartoons have more brown and gay people in them now, I advise you get over it, there are more minorities in the writing room because the industry is bigger now and not the old boys club it was decades ago. I'm not going to try to "fix" you because I don't know your situation, but you're coming of as very egocentric and wishing for the world to cater to you instead of doing the work to get where you want to be in life. I'm a pretty lonely person myself, but a couple of years ago I finally saw that I'm not a very reliable person and don't try to be a friend to others so much as I want them to be my friends.

Friendship has to be given to be received, and being okay with rejection is the first step to making real friends. Letting myself be disliked or misunderstood, because it's only fair when I dislike and misunderstand so many people myself, and no longer painting myself as the tragic hero of my own story and being more objective about my behavior; these have all improved my ability to not be so harsh on myself or others, and evaluate how my actions can affect the people around me. I'm still working on it, but my life has improved somewhat already. I've finally managed to start friendships that last longer than 4-6 months before I ghost them or they ghost me.

tl;dr it's okay to be a little cluster-b on the inside but harm reduction and being honest about the affect our behavior and vibe has on other people is the only option if we want to make friends in this life. if you want friends, you have to be a friend, etc. oh also friendships aren't perfect or linear like we see in cartoons and animes, they come and go, some last and some won't. that's just life.
