South Park is an old show. It used to have a lot more bite to it, like what this episode itself was referencing; Saddam Hussein being gay with Satan is peak juvenile satire. That's what South Park should be, at it's best.
Going after Trump in that way is thus a good return to form to being edgy and transgressive again.
However, it's also a little suspect because it's overbearingly, abundantly fucking clear that they're too pussy to go after hard targets. Take for example how they've spent the last decade trying to transition into a more serialized, apolitical format, but only now that people are fully turning on Trump do they jump on the bandwagon?
There's too South Parks: The transgressive satire, and the meek mealy-mouthed pussies who only pick on safe targets. This episode is both in equal measure. As the episodes go on we'll see them swinging one way or another, no doubt, but let's be honest, it's going to just be whiny cringe and garbage serialized content. They don't actually have balls anymore.
