Funniest thing is that until the last sentence you'd think he knew nothing about Walt Whitman.

>>149707372I always liked that part of Monty. Like you can't ask him FOR anything, but in the spur of the moment, he'll basically do whatever you ask/bug him to without much issue. An absolute baffling enigma how this hateful, spoiled, untouchable monster that detests the common man can also be as much of a little goober that you need if you somehow ask at the right time.
Pretty much all of Hank's bits in the episode he appeared in. The way he's so super supportive of his employees, even when his obvious villainous acts are on full display. There were times it seemed like he was just yanking Homer's chain to get something out of him, yet it turns out he genuinely did care about what Homer wanted as we see him sign off on Homer's departure and even letting him have some fun in all the chaos taking place.
If I had to pick exactly one bit, it'd probably be the shirt swap or the hammock suggestion.
>>149713783It's fantastic, but for me it's the show throwing thing. The ambiguity of Homer's response is fantastic.

>>149706693No. But here's something interesting: some British noble in the 1800s, a Scotsman, I think, paid a Japanese village to move to his estate and just live as they always have except now, they'll have pasty British faces gawking at them all day as a human zoo exhibit.
Also, I visited Scotland some years ago and their reputation for being ill-tempered and parsimonious is undeserved. They were some of the loveliest people I've ever met so long as I didn't have to look at them. Jesus Christ, the average Scot is ugly as fuck. Pleasant, generous folks but ugly as a dog dick.

>>149723793Oh okay, that's what I figured. That it was just a really far drive.
>>149723764The modern stereotype of the Scots was formed in the 18th century when the average Englishman was most likely to meet a scot in the form of a surly Drill Sargeant or miserly merchant.
Before that they were just "those savages and cattle thieves who live up north somewheres" even though lowland Scots had pretty much the same lifestyles as any Englishman.
Lowland Scots for their part considered Highland Scots as "Those savages who steal cattle and live up in the hills somewhere", but did start stealing certain cultural practices from them after the acts of union to help differentiate themselves from the English, such as the wearing of the kilt.
